None of those are going to happen, well the new engine anyway as that would literally mean rebuilding everything from the ground up. EA won't cough up that kind of money for what is a 6 year old game with a shrinking population. We are supposed to be getting new story stuff by the end of the year or more likely early next. What and how good it'll be in another matter.

That debate has being going on since before the game even launched back in 2011. I don't think we'll ever know why SWTOR has never really gotten the love is deserves.

Not getting the love it deserves? SWTOR has gotten more love than any other Bioware game in history. Almost a decade and practically constant work by an entire studio is devoted to loving it. That's on par with entire franchises let alone one game. 

So, I've been replaying the Jedi Consular storyline these last few days.

A JC was my first and main character when the game launched. A super light side goodie-two-shoes female shadow tank and I remember loving it back then. I tried replaying the JC with a male sage like 2-3 years ago, but I got ultra bored and barely made it to Tatooine. So this time I made another female shadow: infiltration and dark sided this time. I just prefer melee classes in SWTOR it seems (all my current characters are "melee") and female JC VO is just better to my ears.

I've been reading that people find dark side JC to not make any sense in the first chapter, but I've done 3/4 of the chapter so far as a ruthless pragmatic Jedi who gets the job done and I disagree. I find it a great representation of falling to the dark side steps by steps by doing the necessarily things and everyone being blind to it (you can even include the JC among them). The DS Consular is not an emotional morally corrupt jerk like the other classes are from the get go, it's more like they are losing their compassion to get the most favorable/fastest results overtime. I also love the "I'm cleansing people of the dark side by killing them" hypocritical theme they have going, although I suspect there won't be any "look in the mirror" moment in the storyline about it.

Where it falls appart is while doing side quests, where you can interact with some NPCs that consider dark 1 = psychopath (telling you that you enjoy hurting others and are super greedy/selfish) when that's not how the JC storyline present the dark side options early on (they are in side quests though, but I don't pick them).

My biggest problem with the JC: the companions. While Qyzen works fine with a dark sided JC, he's kinda boring to hang with, and I feel like I got a cult follower. Cedrax disapprove of everything I say, so I leave him on the ship (his quips are annoying too). I remember not liking Zenith much too and he's next on the recruit list. I kinda wish we got Nadia way sooner, I remember liking her...

I kinda want to redo it with a more light sided character, there is a reasons why I never got Dark V achievement , but I've gone through all those planets 3 times in a row now (on different characters) and I'm getting burn out of them.

Yesterday, while checking the web for JC stuff I stumbled on SWTOR TVTrope page, I'm surprised by the amount of stuff there and that it is up to date to Nathema FP. It also showed that I forgot, or choose to forgot going by the Fridge horror/Nightmare Fuel page, many things. Sorry if that link cause some people to waste many hours of their times

Also, I made a new JC last night, to try the first chapter more light sided because DS was a bit too depressive for me. That character probably won't be as light sided as my original JC though who has 0 DS points. I actually removed the light/dark side indicators, screw that Dark V achievement.

I was in a huge, very active guild.  It's died in the last 6 months, don't even see the gm on much anymore. 

I've been doing 99% Imperial questing for the last three years, I need some change in color palette and quest moods.

It's also not my first attempt at going full DS, I've been failing at it since the game released regardless of faction or class. But then, I have serious issues sticking to one character too.

Playing a LS Sith Warrior was actually quite cool.

Especially in the first Act.

All my toons are LS for the simple fact that most of the DS choices are stupid evil. There are some that actually make sense but more often that not they don't, that not to say that some of the LS choice don't a whole lot of sense ether as some of them don't.
