Also, I'm probably weird that way, but I prefer LMG+component frost with a fire grenade to raniers + ice grenade right now (have neither at legendary). Maybe just because it's different from the ranier's thatI've been using as only gun for months now... but still. Nah, I'm sure interceptor can do good things. But, as long as we can't switch inscriptions, yo can't really build anything, and so any merit is based purely on luck or mindnumbing grind. That's not much to be proud of, really. I mean, sometimes I see uber builds of interceptor with +220% ultimate damage. Well, sure. If I could alter my build manually for that, I could do that too! Not much to it. I get it but the new frost grenade is just so awesome because if you kill the frozen enemy it causes a huge ice explosion that a] looks supercool and b] freezes and primes other enemies. The fire grenade on the other hand is kinda underwhelming I think. I have been using it when I was building my Ranger until I got a Last Argument. And I totally agree about the inscriptions. It just annoys me more and more. I have specific builds in my mind but I can't do them because I can't change anything. I have combo impact damage on stuff like... man I don't even know their names, some special ammo component for grenade launcher or some shit for example. I get nothing with ultimate damage whatsoever and it just sucks being stuck with whatever you have while there are inscriptions on other items you could really use to make something great...

Got the last gear piece for #2 pilot's Ranger … both pilots have both new gear pieces for each Javelin … though some most with meh inscriptions. Ready for tomorrow and getting my #1 pilot some upgraded support gear.
Still plan to save up crystals, spend on weapons, when they are a thing in the seasonal store.
I especially like Hershel's comments aimed at my #2 pilot … the #1 pilot elicits much more banal greetings.
Found the grabbit warren … was in the process of doing various pieces and parts, when teammates swooped in and grabbited stuff ahead of me.
Swooping is still bad, right?

People who just play GM3 to mess up britaheim's puzzle need to get crubstomped. Front and back.
With that grievance out of me, lemon luck has slowed down a bit, although I did get a Legendary Renewed Courage with +175% damage, my best weapon so far. I LOVE using this thing on my ranger. It almost makes guns viable...
I think I'm going to spend my built up crystal nest egg on the support chests until I get at least a legendary for ranger and storm. And then spend the remaineder (if there is such a thing) on a storm melee legendary. Gotta git dem lemons!

yesterday in Anthem: I didn't do any cataclysms but finished 3 conjunctions in order to complete the cataclysm weekly noticed a couple of things: - still desperately want so salvage on the go - if you salvage after ending whatever mission you did, we should be able to salvage multiple items at once - Storm is underpowered compared to the other Javs, he really is lacking the punch such a pity - RNGesus isn't kind to me when it comes to war chests (no matter if gear or melee I mostly get MW dublicates) are support items coming for sure today? not weapons? and will the gear chests remain? EDIT: nvm - found all the info I needed thanks to Hrungr and the Twitter Thread

Today I'm getting ready for the support gear chests. I have around 150 crystals right now and will probably get super god rolls on the support gear legendaries I'd like to have later. Gonna play the new event first and do runs with both the Interceptor and Ranger, afterwards I'll start buying. Then start saving again for the following weeks and hopefully by the end of the cataclysm I can go on a shopping spree with what's left of my crystals and further improve on my melee weapons or something like that.

Just did first castle kelrik. It was messy. Fun, but difficult at times trying to see the symbols, but I guess pugs didn't want to try for the valkyrie yet 🙁 Also got first masterwork support piece 😁😁😁

I have only opened around 25 so far and half of them were Colossus... including 2 legendaries. No lego for Ranger or Interceptor yet. Been fiddling around in the forge with appearances for my 2 loadouts of each Javelin. Only played Castle Kelrik on easy real quick to see what it's about and to get the "no kill" challenge done.

did 2 cataclysms so far 1. was a little messy because at least one of the others didn't have too many clues about what and where to do it but HunterKipling joined and that helped - AND he obviously was my good luck charm because when I tried again for the umpteenth time (again on my own): 2. with my Interceptor (now properly dressed ), we did Kelrik again, and the others left after the crystal was destroyed (jeez, without coordination it is quite frustrating and time consuming ) but I stayed and lured out the Valkyrie Kelrik, so that is done let's see how it goes tomorrow

Played first and last Cataclysm events containing Marksman/Sniper... cant play for a week so I invested a lot of xtals to get good supports and boy did I get some. Also got a better melee LG for storm at last. I joined mojothepower 's running GM3 game from the map and did 2 runs. I even with my LG Ranger 906 way underpowered and mainly helped by keeping enemies frozen/multicomboing. TBH I had no idea what to do at the Kelrik castle, but Mojo led us all with voice and we were victorious in the end 8 bazillion points woow. Keep the fort up, unfortunate to miss all this but thats the life.

Today I had to start learning to use the support ability of the Ranger more often, especially with +200% charges and use the Interceptor one less often because unfortunately it's not a target beacon for now...
...and just as I was done writing this and decided to buy 10 more chests I got 2 legendary target beacons. One is crap, the other one okay but not really great but will do for now I think.

So regarding Kelrik. We did a couple of runs yesterday with varying results. Me, HunterKipling, Freelancer MaddMardigan and Freelancer Random the first and Freelancer Overhung the last one. The first one MaddMardigan showed us the Kelrik puzzle. Random did his/her own thing. We did score over 5 mill on GM2 so all in all good one. Tour was Magnus, Brita, Casja, Kelrik and Diana. Second one MaddMardigan instructed Overhung on Kelrik but all in all we wasted a lot of time there. Not being clear in communicating the symbols etc. So I figured we would need clear definitions on what every symbol would be called. One spotter and two runners or something. But then this morning one of the random freelancers just soloed Kelrik while the rest of us took care of Diana. Mobs were still there when we arrived so he/she focused on the puzzle itself. It was way more time efficient. What do you freelancers think?

What do you freelancers think? if you don't have any way of communication (and the "follow me" doesn't really help here ) you just have endure it I guess or do what the rando did - solo it while the others are busy
In a team with comms I think it is still best/fastest, one does the puzzle alone - the others can kill everything in the way and maybe call out a needed symbol when they see it...

I'm at 160 support chests, nothing legendary for ranger. Think I'll stop for now, grind out the week, and then do another bulk opening by the end of the week (and sacrifice a lamb or something...). Stupid bioware loot box travesty bullshit. Anyway, whereas I used to build my ranger for ridiculous combo damage, I recently tried this ultimate ranger thing. It is ridiculous. Missiles EVERYTWHERE. I love it. The only shame is due to bad inscriptions, I have to choose to either build for combo's OR ultimates, not both Ah, the dilemmas. Since I got a shitload of interceptor support legendaries, I tried out interceptor again. I'm still no fan, but he does pretty well on GM2. I've made an acid build and it destroys pretty fast. Need more limes for GM3, but it still has potential (compared to storm, anyway...). Oh, and the revive support is the most convenient thing ever. I got one with 200% charges, so nobody's dying in my team! Also on storm. The support gear is utter bullshit compared to the others. I mean: - Ranger: Grenades for DAYZ bitches. - Interceptor: everybody is immortal now. - Colossus: well apparently the shock coil + melee thing wasn't overpowered enough yet, so here's some MORE MELEE DAMAGE. - Storm: Hey. here's a pittance of a gear damage boost (20%, really?) or here's a wind wall with does about as much damage as one bullet from my legendary havoc. EDIT: On the kelrik thing. I'd rather the part first does diana, then kelrik. You can teleport from diana to kelrik real easy by using the teleporter near the fallen AT-AT thing at diana. And after kelrik, if you take the other exit from the teleporter, you can do all big secrets in one run while flying to boss. PS: I find it easier on kelrik to first clear the right barrier, then the left, then the crystal (requires less distance running around carrying artifacts).

I've found most matches I've played, I've gone off to start / solo kelrik whilst the pugs take care of Diana. Just a small complaint though about those 2 arenas, the turrets like to wreck me before they're even visible which is a bit rude. Not sure whether that's a lag based issue (which I'm starting to think my crazy controller issue is related too) or something else. Now that I've gotten the hang of kelrik, time to go back to investigating all the secrets . Seem to always be running short on time though 😂.

I know the feeling. I have played those legendary mission solos with hybrids and it's okay. But if you go specifically for one thing, you can really amp up the damage. I have such bad components though - on my ultimate Ranger as well as Interceptor I dropped gearscore because I'm now using 2 masterworks items again... But I have now 2 distinct loadouts for each Javelin. Vanguard Interceptor is my ultimate build and uses Biotic Charge Spark Dash to get around quickly and refill the ultimate meter with Venom Spray. I also have good global cooldowns on this build. The Venomous Interceptor is my melee build that uses acid bomb debuffs, acid blades and does a lot more melee damage than the ultimate build, sucks with his ultimate though. It's the same dilemma... apparently I can't have both (at least not with current inscriptions). For the Ranger I got my Devastator Ranger which is the ultimate build and my Frostcombo Ranger who is my combo damage build and who's running with components like extended sniper magazine and some special weapons ammo instead of what I'd actually like to use on him. I took the Vanguard Interceptor and the Frostcombo Ranger into GM3 Temple Of Scars today. Got a full solo with the Interceptor and a solo up until shortly before Scelos with the Ranger. Have videos of both and will add them later. Also played a cataclysm with the Interceptor and recorded it. Got a little over 11.4 million which is currently my highest score. Unfortunately an accident happened and Vara was killed 2 minutes too early but it was a good run anyways... we did Kelrik before Diana by the way and we usually use 1 or 2 people to do the puzzle. With my Interceptor I'm candidate number one for it but I might switch with somebody when I need to use my ultimate for survival and just use it to obliterate enemies at the same time. Also the way to go is usually: get the one thing on the right when you enter from the inside of the castle (basically if you come from down below from the forge or via the teleporter from the beach depending on what order you do the events in). Then do the other side. The spawn the Valkyrie and then open up the crystal (ideally at the same time when the others are killing the valkyrie). I think our bossfight-guy tagged along today as well and didn't go to Vara. At least we didn't bug out the server again... it's super annoying when you are close to the end and then break the server and get nothing. I hope they either fix the bug or the double add-spawns soon to counter that problem.

The only shame is due to bad inscriptions, I have to choose to either build for combo's OR ultimates, not both Ah, the dilemmas. *snip to make the quote less long*. Hey, is posting first thing in the mornings at work also part of your morning routine? Yeah, I akeep creating alternate builds for the same javelin, but I keep deleting them. I want one guy that can do everything But on the other hand, for the game, it's better that that is not a thing. It's better that you can build your javelin only for specific purposes. This way, there is more variation. As a matter of fact, I really hope that if they ever change the inscription thing, they keep in mind build variation. In any case, some good news for a change! Before yesterday evening, I was at 170 opened support war chests, with 0 legendaries for el ranchero. Yesterday, I did 4 cata runs (one with each javelin to get the daylies, and to get some masterworks for colossus and interceptor I didn't have yet). At the end of the evening I had saved up about enough crystals for 45 gear chests. So I figured I'd do another chest opening sequence, and get my number up to 200... The first 29 left me a bit distraught, as I had received yet 2 more lemon target beacons for the @%#&% interceptor (I don't like the interceptr gameplay, sorry XCTPNL, and even if I do, I use rally cry anyway... that makes for 9 lemon target beacons in total that I received ), and one lemon wind wall. But then. Number 200. Literally chest number 200. Redemption. Freedom. Exhilaration! A LEMON RANGER SUPPORT GEAR. Even the correct one with additional 'nade charges! Man was I ever so happy. It sadly didn't have extra charges, but that was okay, it had combo damage inscription, so we good What a relief. But that wasn't the end of my nocturnal adrenaline surge. Oh no. I still hadn't had received melee legendaries for storm ( I figured since they kept them available always, I'd have opportunities at getting them later), so I thought what the hell, I'll splurge my remaining crystals on some melee in the vain hope of getting a storm drop. Very first chest? A goddamn lemon storm lightning melee. And not just any melee, a melee with +160% shield inscriptions!! what a nice stat stick (I don't melee often with storm anyway). Very pleased with that one. My night couldn't be a dissapointment anymore. But RNGsus wasn't done with me yet. But, ever so unsatisfied as I am, I thought to myself... well... I don't really use lightnign surge. I kind of need the fire detonator one. So I continue opening boxes. And lo and behold. 5 boxes later: Boom. A lemon storm fire detonator melee. WHAAAAAA??! Yessirree. No good inscriptions so I'll probably use the lightning surge, but still, I got it!! Man, what an ending to the night. It was 1AM and I was dead tired, but my adrenaline kept me up for another half an hour XD So now my storm and ranger are both shiny gleamy in legendary weapons, gear, and components. Real sleek I took my ranger for a quick spin this morning, and his combo damage hits somewhere between 220k and 250k, from a quick simple acid primer and melee detonator. Considering i can do that continuously, holy smokes that's a lot of dps... I should restrict this guy to gm3 Next im gonna see how my storm works alll legendary'd (and shielded!) up So now I can just relax and play the cataclysm. I have little interest in getting the weapons at lemon level, so I think I'll save up my crystals and wait for gear chests to appear again, and attempt a god roll eternal squall (ar, at the least, one with multiple charges...). Wish me luck!

PillarBiter : I know the feeling of "the one loadout that does everything" and for a limited time that was actually possible because of the jav-wide damage. But with those no longer affecting melee, combo and ultimate damage it really changes things a lot and it's usually "either go this way or the other". Of course hybrid builds are still possible and sometimes a good option, it's just much harder to balance them evenly - especially with the lack of inscription-switching and such. I also wish we could have "the good" stuff on the javelin specific components and not just the universal ones. I can't understand how one can not like the awesomeness of the Interceptor. The movement alone is worth so much. But I guess I get it how not every javelin is meant for each player. I mean I have tried really hard to like the Storm as you may remember... but I just couldn't really get into it. I wish I could take a look at your target beacons though and trade the best one with you if any of them are good. Mine isn't too bad actually but not really great either. It has global recharge so that's really helpful. The only other one I got was total crap. I have 1 rallye cry as well but without extra charges it just takes too long to recharge. If I get a good one I might switch although it's really hard to give up that extra damage from target beacon. On my bulwark point I have 200 charges and it's really nice. If I remember to use it that is. Because I still forget to actually use it most of the time. It's just totally not in my muscle memory to use a support item on the Ranger (but spam it on the Interceptor). I might be going for the other one as it pushes ALL damage but then again the duration is so short and usually I'm not standing inside the bubble for long. So it would mostly be useful for maximizing damage when popping the ultimate attack. Anyways, congratulations that you got some useful things. It can be very frustrating opening these boxes and burning through all the crystals without much to show for or items that are for other javelins that you don't play... Now about that combo damage... I'll leave this here (it's captured from the stronghold semi solo video that youtube is processing right now). Please note that this is obviously not the standard amount of damage I get from combos. Ice usually does less than fire, especially vs. armor. Also the Rampager buff is active. Too bad I can't equip Symbiotic Surge right now because I have 2 slots occupied with stupid ammunition components for weapons I don't even have on that javelin...
