I remember the comment … but I thought it was a temp thing specific to the demo … that would not be in the released version of the game.
Maybe we're talking about two different dev comments … at least with respect to critters disappearing.

Enemies will still disappear before your eyes in Freeplay. Sound cuts out (like EVERY Frostbite Bioware game to date). Seriously... DAI, MEA and Anthem all have this bug. AFAIK, DAI is the only game that you can fix it in game(by changing the speaker config in settings). This is clearly a Frostbite issue and one I am sick of dealing with.
I believe a dev was talking about it on one of the Anthem live streams about the issue in the VIP demo. It was an idea to free up resources by not having to handle creatures that weren't anywhere near the player. They said they were working on fixing it but it certainly sounded like it was deliberately coded that way, rather than a Frostbite thing.
I dunno. It sure seems like a Frostbite issue. Once Bioware can ship a Frostbite engine game where the sound does not magically stop working randomly, I will stop blaming the engine. Until then.... Frostbite sucks (except it does look pretty).

Cool new bug as of last evening: If you join a mission in a confined area (eg: Not freeplay) after it has started, doors will be permanently shut and you will not be able to participate. Terminated my stream last night due to the bug trapping me in a cave.

Terminated my stream last night due to the bug trapping me in a cave. Interesting. They have discussed this bug before, as it happened in the beta/demo as well. I believe they said there is a Day 1 patch for that. I'll have to peruse their Twitter feeds. As far as I know, the current pre-order launch build is the "final build" (thus very different from the beta/demo build) however it is without the Day 1 patch that will launch on the 22nd. If I'm off about that someone please correct me, but that seems to be what I'm seeing on Reddit and Twitter. The audio issue also seems to have a Day 1 patch launching on the 22nd.

Have you heard anything about why the patch is delayed? I was under the impression this Origin Premier version was the game, live at this point. It's also kinda bombing the release-week reviews...

They had a patch for things they knew about, that could be completed, prior to 15 Feb.
But they also had stuff that was not ready to go … in some cases, still trying to fix the problem, in other cases, they were still doing the QA on the patch, to make sure it didn't break something else; it wasn't ready for 15 Feb, so added to the 22 Feb day one patch.
Plus other stuff that will have to come later … I think mostly stuff discovered in the demos, that had not previously been identified in the release version, but also for some stubborn bugs that have been hard to resolve … like maybe a full patch of the Frostbite sound bug.

There was a patch for 15th, but they also stated multiple times that a lot more things will be implemented and patched during the actual launch at 22nd. Certification and stuff. Also - not many reviews yet, since it's early access and not the actual full release date, so I'm not sure what exactly is bombing aside from a bunch of youtbers and occasional editorials, most of which are first hours/days impressions rather than full reviews (and certainly not all of them negative or meh).

Sorry for being unclear; I meant bombing as in, it's giving a poor early impression, not review-bombing YouTube or something like that. I had a couple people watch my stream yesterday to see if it was worth buying; that stream ended in an unfinished stronghold with half my squad trapped in a cave by a glitched door that wouldn't open.

The 15th is the actual launch. Everyone who doesn't want to pay extra or subscribe has to wait.
I don't care what Bioware says before you throw that back. The game is LAUNCHED and people are examining it as such.
Origin Premiere etc. is all garbage and I hope that system comes back to bite them in the ass.

I had a couple people watch my stream yesterday to see if it was worth buying; that stream ended in an unfinished stronghold with half my squad trapped in a cave by a glitched door that wouldn't open. Well yeah, but the impression I got is that impression ain't really that negative aside from what I mentioned before. Bugs certainly don't help and I think most people would prefer for Anthem to have as flawless launch as it can possibly be, but as far as launches go, I don't think we're heading anywhere towards disaster. This seems within normal growing pains for a newborn franchise and what needs to be observed now is how quickly the game will be updated and fixed. I mean, if we take the demo into account we've seen Bioware steadily improving the game in past month so now we can only wait to see what will happen in 22nd and then March updates. ... And I have to wonder how many people really pay attention to Anthem now, aside from invested parties (whether positively or negatively)? A veritable f-ton of AAA games launched at 15th...

If anyone is playing currently and can see that it works, but isn't much faster, or if it's just unavailable, please post here. It seemed MUCH faster compared to the weekend early demo to me. There's no run\walk toggle, but moving around is no longer such a PITA. Framerates are good, with some minor stuttering here and there (playing on PC, GTX1060, 12gb RAM, SSD), but nothing serious. The flight\swim UI had been reworked, but I still find flying\swimming much easier with the controller (while shooting is better with KB+M). Ended up playing for 2 hours with the XBOne gamepad on my lap, switching the controls in\out of combat, lol. 8P

As a strictly PC player I would like to counter argue that when a game is launched for consoles first - everyone counts it as a launch, no matter that the game is not available for PC for months or years. So yeah, launch date - 15th. How does that feel? 😎

If early access was the launch date it wouldn't be early access!
Neither for that matter, would the day one patch be scheduled to occur one week after the day one of the launch.
The terminology clearly implies that the current access is provided as a perk to those who have paid for it prior to the official launch. So no, the 15th was not the launch it was special access to a pre-launch version of the game.

Is early access a beta too though, given that it has bugs and will have fixes? No, it isn't. It' a first full build of the game that got released. And it won't be beta after it gets another batch of fixes next time. And then again. And again. And again. That's how it is with live-service (and let's face it, most modern games) games where the product is ever-changing and ever-improving. The demo was a demo. We didn't get it so developers could test stuff, but to have a taste of gameplay. Which we did, bugs and issues or not.

It depends to whom - I'm not experiencing that many bugs myself and certainly a lot less than in the demo. We see a lot of issues steadily fixed over the course of time, which is what's important in... well, ANY game nowadays, but live service games even more so.

Hm... First impressions is extremely important.
Perhaps that is the reason Bio is doing another live stream..... last minute panic marketing ? Showing new goodies? Attempt to mitigate bad impressions? All worthwhile efforts, of course. But if what you say is true ( A veritable f-ton of AAA games launched at 15th...), competing games for player dollars may make the 5-6 million units sales target a stretch.
On paying Attention to the Game
I've said it often enough a year plus back that players will burn through the initial content within a month.... guess I was optimistic. The viability of this game is keeping N players active on a daily basis. EA deliberately competed with itself by releasing Apex Lengends. Yeah... kind of hard to pay attention to a buggy Anthem.
Best of luck to Bio.

I’m right after defeating The Monitor on PC.
3) With Shift preseed you move slightly faster, but it’s still too slow. 6) I did’t see any 0s, but there were some 1s. 7) Both have small indicators on ingame UI and some of them in forge before its name, less than a half if I had to guess. 8) Hahahaha, hell no. 9) If this means that javelin you played can use all things that dropped, then yes. 10) You can choose order in which you unlock all four javelins, tutorial is played with Ranger that isn’t really yours and you can’t use it after unlocking first javelin. 18) Sometimes they still do, but mostly last few remaining enemies at the cleanup after successful encounter just run away and disappear when out of range. 19) There are 3 now and they give stuff like recipes and cosmetics.
I agree that it works MUCH better than demo, worst issue I have is that when you close any UI screen that uses mouse pointer then sometimes this pointer stays at the center of the screen. Nothing too serious, but it’s annoying as fuck.

1, 3, 7, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21 are not fixed.
8, 16, 20 are among the worst I've experienced on PC, so even if they're improved from the demo they're not fixed. 6, 10, 12 appear fixed.
