I prefer Anthem, but this is kinda like saying which one of my last two bowel movements was more enjoyable.
Andromeda is a bigger letdown, since it's actually a Mass Effect game. Anthem isn't as disappointing since it's a new IP and I haven't been excited for a Bioware game since the first fifteen minutes of ME2. I was hoping they could try to capture some of the spark of ME3MP, but I don't think they did a good enough job of this.

Andromeda definitely felt better (still a disappointment of a mass effect game and that's not changing, still haven't touched it since it launched). Anthem had more resources and it's somehow worse lol. The gameplay will get repetitive with all the ability restrictions, the missions definitely like to repeat "defend this, fetch this, find this, etc. Etc.". The flying will be good till people get over it, after that I don't see anything gameplay wise holding it up. I can't comment on the story since I haven't finished it but early game it's slow, not terrible but slow. Customization can be a big boost if they play it right. Content wise it's pretty bare bones for something that took 7 years too.
I'd say give it a year and it'd probably be worth it, you can get it cheaper and you'll get all the updates to it (assuming they don't shutter this games post launch support too that is).

You're obfuscating, crux of it is you haven't experienced the full game and jumping to conclusions on something you haven't played. No, I'm not. Proof that the things I don't like are still in the game is all over the net. What those are in detail I have posted in the Haters with an agenda Skepticism thread. They were in the demo, they are in the finished game. The End. So playing something like ME2 demo is enough to jump to conclusions about final game or is it better to play full game then come to conclusions?

I’d have to say Andromeda. At least it had a story that had me wanting to know more, even if the end result didn’t impress me. Anthems story had no hooks for me. I have no interest in what the dominion is or what they want.
That and doing the same thing over and over bores me to tears.

I was lukewarm on Andromeda in the beginning and ended up absolutely hating it. But there's no denying that Andromeda was the more "complete" game.

Andromeda, no question. But then, I really liked Andromeda, despite being disappointed that it wasn't up to the usual Bioware standards.

Story - Andromeda, Gameplay - Anthem (taking gameplay as combat and exploration, not the talky stuff), Content = story + gameplay?
I'm more a single person RPG type than a team co-op shooter type, so Andromeda. But I have been waiting a long while for someone to churn out a kinetic, thunky, power armour based shooter, so I'm unreasonably well disposed to Anthem, even if it is team co-op flavour. It has its issues, but it succeeds in making me want to run round and kill stuff.
In summary. Eh. I dunno. Depends what I'm in the mood to play. Half a point each?

Andromeda was more complete at launch because it's built that way (not a Game As A Service). Already I find the lore and story stronger in Anthem.

I am not sure either way how I feel about it. As I said, the anthem story didn’t grab or intrigue me at all, while at least Andromeda had “hey it’s Mass Effect!” Going for it.

Andromeda, by quite a margin actually. It at least had fairly competent story telling, solid combat and the environments were far more interesting. It was also more polished.

Bear in mind I've completed 2/16 of the story sections so it's first impressions, but I get the same vibe I did in Mass Effect (1) of a fascinating world and story just kicking off. When Anthem is a year old, then we can properly compare it to Andromeda. I think Anthem has the potential to a huge success for BioWare, though clearly, it's early days.

If I was to think back to the first two missions... I can’t even remember what they were. Rescue Mathias... and...?

Why are you here then? Must be a boring game. I don't understand your point, I think it's a terrific game. Fair disclosure, 40 hours were in the closed alpha and demos. I felt 'rushed' in the 10-hour trial, so restarted a new pilot which now has 5 hours on the clock to enjoy the story properly.

Man I would donate to your Patreon or whatever just to watch you stream your gameplay.

I let you know in 3-6 months once I've processed through everything and more of the story has been integrated...maybe add a too early to tell option in your poll. They're fundamentally different games and each has things to offer the other doesn't. Overall I find there to be less tedium in Anthem and the world is more dynamic...but the latter is easier to do when you only have to account for one world version multiple. Right now I give Anthem an 8 which is about where MEA sits for me. MEA gets a big downgrade for me because of how quickly support was dropped and they couldn't be bothered with a single DLC. Anthem could reach 9 for me if the potential is fully realized...but that'll require strong support in the coming months. They did discontinue SP support once they'd patched the biggest issues. But they supported MP for quite a long while after that with new loot and character releases, balance changes, etc.

I've put 1,041 hours on Andromeda according to Origin (which is probably far more than what most people have) and only 10 hours on Anthem so far (though I played that Demo while it was out like no tomorrow). I will report back with more details when I have invested at least 50-60 hours clocked on Anthem.
In my book, Andromeda is, despite all its shortcomings, a better game than Anthem. It had a pretty good Multiplayer mode and a campaign that was worth 70 to 100 hour, with little to no replay value. That is below Bioware standards but above the vast majority of games out there. Andromeda had a solid foundation which could have been worked on, in case that game had been supported with extra content. I remember being scoffed at when I said so back in 2017. Today though, the idea of a Bioware being release broken and incomplete and receiving improvements later down the road is not so absurd, as Anthem is here to prove to us. I will reserve my criticisms for Anthem beyond that though, until I have played more of it.
