This guy is someone using something I've never seen before. I'll try to describe what I saw the best i can...
On PC, his ui is ME3_PUNISHER.
I was just firing up a low level character and hosted a new pug game. By the 2nd wave I had two other players with me, and things were going fine. At around wave 4 this player comes in, and suddenly I notice my other teammate are being dropped and tossed around like ragdolls. We were vs Cerberus on Giant. On Bronze. BRONZE. Then I notice the new guy, he's got some sort of a line of purple armor showing, like he's an enemy (like how you can see the line of armor on a banshee or brute, except he's a player!). It looked like the armor readout in the single player game when you look at one of those Reaper barrier engines.
Anyway, he's attacking the other two teammates, tossing them with some sort of uber PULL ability. then something hits me and I drop for a few seconds, like I was hit with stasis. I get up, take cover, and hit the idiot with reave. I see one of his bars flickering, but nothing more. I take a few shots at him with my acolyte, little to no effect either. Then he hit me from the other side of the map with that "pull" of his, and combos me down again.
I put up with that garbage only once more and then quit the game. Enjoy your game alone, bozo.
He's obviously using some sort of cheat script that allows him to not only have god-like armor and powers but also attack other players.
This clown makes ALIENTECH look like a schoolboy. If you see him, this ME3_PUNISHER, with that purple bar of armor when you "look" at him... you may as well quit that match right then and there.
I can only wonder at the mindset of the kind of feeble person it takes to want to do stuff like this. Most of us are just trying to have some fun and improve the skilliage.

EDIT: yeah unfortunately despite our game's age we still seem to have a few pathetic trolls like the ones you mention hanging about. don't pay much attention to them or let them ruin your fun That's pretty much how I roll, but I've been playing ME3 for many years now, on and off, as well as it's multiplayer, I've seen plenty of trolls and foolishness going on, but nothing ever like this guy. So I thought it might be something that either other people still playing would want to know about, or you might already know of the guy. No worries about my game. I usually finish games with the usual brand of "odd" player, but when it comes to outright cheaters I just quit the match and start a new one. Shame there's no way to vote-kick a player once the match has started.

And yeah, you can find the videos of trolls getting punished around here... 'cause like you said there's trolling and there's trolling, and when they cross BSNers them trolls often get more then what they bargained for

This sucks....but how come part of me actually wants to experience this with my Phoenix Vanguard?....  ...i would like to BC and Smash the s**t outta him.....that's crazy that he can re-write the code or mod the game in some fashion to attack other players and actually have his powers work on them....
So i'm assuming the other enemies in the game don't attack him?...or if they do, he is not taking on any damage?.....Not sure why folks do stuff like this...i mean whats the point?...just to be an A$$?.....jokes aside, i can see how this can be incredibly annoying...especially if you are in a hard fought game and about to limp your way through wave 11 to finish it and this clown comes through with his antics....  ...all that work goes down the drain....

And yes, he was standing out in the open where he could ambush the other teammates, and all of the enemies were pelting away at him... no effect. The guy was god. And his powers did not seem like regular powers, they were amped. I mean he was yanking the squad members all over the battlefield, right through their shields like we were gnats.

I know there's also a method of activating in-game messaging for oneself, but I looked at the process for it and it just seemed like too much work. I'm retired, I want to play the game, not tinker with code. lol. But like I said, in all the years I've played ME3 MP this is the first time I've seen this guy or anyone like him for that matter. Either I won't see him again, or if I do I'll just quit, watch for him in my lobbies, and kick him that way. Or perhaps I'll get really lucky and one of you experts in cheater-stomping will just happen to be in the game... but then again I get the feeling from your post that your solution there only works if you are the host, yes? I'll look over your instructions. I'm an old website coder and writer, but I'm no expert when it comes to modding games. Unless it downloads and self-installs I'm apt to tear what's left of my hair out. I'd love to look at those troll-punishing videos you mentioned though.

Yep played with him (and don't forget he has a buddy who spams voice comms) nothing you can do but move on. I highly suspect they lurk here or similar to see how much they are pissing people off. This is all the effort they'll get from me.

Based on what I saw him do he would have owned your vanguard. LIke I said, the guy's armor was nearly invulnerable. A single shot from my acolyte takes out most of banshee's barriers, ONE shot. That same shot on this guy made one of his bars flicker for like a second. Then he was full armor again. And yes, he was standing out in the open where he could ambush the other teammates, and all of the enemies were pelting away at him... no effect. The guy was god. First thing, hello. Nice to meet you. Don't be a stranger. Here we have a friendly degenerated community, who like to shitpost, bitch about poor PUGs and lag. But most of the people here are truly evil. They are super helpful bunch, so feel free to ask questions  Second thing, the match you had is not a nuclear science. That troll had dev console enabled and simply changed the team. That puts player to the enemy side, so they can use their powers on you, they can melee you, they can shoot at you, but they won't do any harm, apart from ragdolling you with certain powers. That's it. You can't hurt them either. It's not a PvP mod. Third thing, this idiot probably used Lash on you. So next time you see him, just lash him back, or as the guys above me mentioned, use the command to kick him out. He's a well known troll around and he usually goes with his sex partner - PugNizer of whatever the fuck he's called. Simply avoid them or bully them. Fourth thing, here's an example of such bullying. You think you know someone, you think you're friends, but then this happens. Amirite vastator?   |

It's quite easy. Enable console + enter one command: Changeteam - Changes your team so you join the enemy team, can shoot allies and you're ignored by enemy faction

As stated above the changeteam command lets you join the enemy forces. The enemy faction ignores you. Afaik the player is (nearly) unaffected by gun damage. Usually working are ragdoll/stagger powers like Pull and Lash or Melee attacks. Shooting with Disruptor ammo staggers as well.

I'm retired, I want to play the game, not tinker with code. lol. You can install ModManager from here. I believe it comes with console enabled. Second and easy way is described in a video here. You just download a file and put it in your game folder. At least for text chat it's quite handy.

Since there are people in contact with Brojo and others, can't we ask him to get rid of these psychopaths? Never met these ones, but I saw a video in the past with their performances and many people complaining about them. Origin has a report feature for cheaters, but of course it does nothing (reported Spectreworld a lot of times...), maybe we should try a more direct approach.

The game is 7 years old. 6 of them were without any kind of Biower support or ban waves. I'm surprised the game does not look like Baghdad at this point. Most games are still very civil and no cheating is observed

I've been a member of various other gaming forums stemming back to the late 90's, but just found you guys now via my searches for discussions about ME3 trolling. lol 2. That "may" be true, what you said about him not actually being able to do harm. However, one of the other teammates was still killed by this guy in that wave. Now, it may be that he was "ragdolled" as you say, but that could have allowed the actual real enemy to nail him while he was incapped. So this guy in that way actually can and does harm the team immensely, if not directly. As for his powers, yes, one of the powers he was hitting us with was very "lash-like". The other could have been stasis, not sure. It was all very sudden, I was being damaged by the enemy at the same time, so hard to say who was doing what damage. I do know that I could not damage him though. My powers were reave and pull, I hit him with both to no effect. 3. Thanks, I was interested to know if he was a known guy to anyone here or if he was... something new. I wasn't looking for nuclear science as you put it, as I said I was thinking already that he was using some sort of cheat code, or script of some kind, something where he altered the parameters of the game somehow. Sorry If that came across as me thinking something otherworldly or something, that wasn't my intention. Also as I said, i will generally always simply quit the match in such cases, and start fresh. And since I always play as the host (for reasons), assuming anyone is left in his game, he will always have to restart whatever wave he was in. I know, it's a small concession, but it's something. 4. I've posted ME3-related stuff there in recent times, and have even directed exchanged Origin-related comments with someone who actually works at EA a few times. I'm about to try there and see if anyone cares enough to look into this guy's origin account.

Where can I find this useful feature? "Useful". I doubt about that. Btw use the origin search friend feature, find the user you're looking for, there should be a link called "report this user" near the "send friend request" button. You can report someone for cheating, harassing, and so on. Even for terrorism (i bet someone here may be in danger for that). |

The game is 7 years old. 6 of them were without any kind of Biower support or ban waves. I'm surprised the game does not look like Baghdad at this point. Most games are still very civil and no cheating is observed Very true. Which is probably why this one stood out to me so much. (which would explain the "Alert" melodrama in my title I suppose) The worst behavior I'd seen up to this point was probably the two clowns in a gold match who would run into spawns and die in the first five seconds of every wave and then make loud stupid sounds over the mic while I and one other teammate finished each wave. We couldn't even kick them afterward because there were two of them, lol. Or that ALIENTECH guy. But with him as you all must know he just slacks off, and he seems to like to shoot teammates, but he uses no cheat that I can see. He's just an idiot, one that likes to use teammates to farm credits for him while he basically avoids actually playing the game. So yes, this new guy sort of stood out to me. And you're right, most pug matches are actually pretty friendly and fun, with most players making at least an effort. Although as always some think that doing objectives is beneath them or something. Or perhaps they think objectives are for losers, I don't know. The game is mostly still very fun though. Still one of the best multiplayers out there.

Okay, regarding your video I just have to ask, and I'm sorry there's no other phrasing I can think of so bear with me, but... why does your character look like he has a broom handle shoved up his ass? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

...i would like to BC and Smash the s**t outta him.....that's crazy that he can re-write the code or mod the game in some fashion to attack other players and actually have his powers work on them....
...all that work goes down the drain....
