Sure, but it also needs an engaged playerbase. According to the XBOX store's most played games, Anthem, on that system, sits at less than 2500 players. Not enough people left to continue funding the game.

It all depends on how well received that will be and by how many players.

I live in a major metropolitan area in a presumably first world country. It would take me a literal week to download Anthem. People have shit internet still and those that have good internet, are oftentimes limited by data caps.

That is anecdotal.

It took me 4 whole days to download Mortal Kombat XL. I downloaded DOOM 2016 over the span of several weeks and I just dread the idea of downloading Rage 2. I am never uninstalling AssCreed: Odyssey, because of the sheer size of data I would have to re-download. It's dreadful.

The sources are fine, my line is thoroughly fucked and my ISP has notified me, on multiple occasions, of their inability to repair my malfunction.

Are you sure it's 6MB/s and not 6Mbps? It would somewhat explain your slow speed

A Byte is a group of 8 bits. So if you have a 6mbps connection and want it in MB/s ... you gotta divide it by 8

Yeah I like parts of Anthem and I am glad they are supporting it, haters be damned. However, the decision to abandon Andromeda was foolish. They made their supporters look like fools and vindicated their detractors. I'm not there, I don't work for them, but it seems like that decision did more harm than good.

Some of my friends keep trying to get me to buy Anthem. I had a $10 Amazon reward, and so I was tempted recently. I held out though.

I hate to say it, but MEA's rather abrupt drop in support left quite the sour taste in my mouth and I don't know how much I care to support Bioware, especially when it comes to IPs that I currently have no investment in. They might still have me on Mass Effect 5 just because I am too much of a fan. DA4, I don't know we'll see. But other than that I am not interested unless I hear a fair amount of good "word of mouth."

Nevermind that Anthem also had the whole "looter shooter" thing going, which really isn't a genre I am into much. Although I really enjoyed ME3 MP and have enjoyed DAI mp somewhat, I mostly have been into these two series for single player. Anthem is pretty light on that from what I understand.
