For those unaware of this series its all the work of a single person, and this has to be one of the greatest representations of Space Marines, or Astartes, in Warhammer 40,000.
The content creator recently got out of a bought of legal trouble involving a hacker claiming his Youtube channel but that's been resolved and he's back with even better content.

Was watching these on MMO Champion and they are really good. I need to spend some time with the 40K universe as I know very little of it but find it to be so interesting.

Its a great universe with lots, and lots of lore behind it. Astartes are only a small (albeit awesome) part of a much larger whole.

I cannot deny that the quality of this mans work is beyond description. I know only a little about 40k, a little too over the top for my preferences, but I definitely can respect the quality storytelling on display. Even as someone who knows very little, I was able to follow most of it with ease. Got some great Event Horizon chills from Part 5.
I only wish Mass Effect or Dragon Age had fans that did this....sigh. Oh well.

The beauty of the 40k setting is that you can have stories that run the gamut from over-the-top crazy bombastic action, to tense psychological thrillers, to investigation mystery; all depending on which characters/factions/races are involved and at how grand in scope you want to take the narrative. And wholeheartedly agree on the creator's talents here. Hard to believe it's just one guy doing all this since this level of quality isn't really seen even in professional efforts involving whole teams of artists.

Indeed, the only time you see this is when Blizzard makes a cinematic trailer, since that is sadly the only thing Blizzard is still competent at doing.

I've come around on the new Necron lore but there are times I wish they weren't so blatantly Tomb Kings in spaaaaccccceeee. For the Imperium side of things I would go with the Cult Mechanicus.

And Space Wolves led by Shor Bloodyfang (my OG Wolf Lord in Terminator armour, he is in a fanfic I'm writing at the moment).

Tau and Imperial Guard (Death Korps though) are my brother's favorites. He likes the dakka dakka lol Very interesting, that's one of the things I love about this setting its scope is so massive that you can easily fit your own creation in without it feeling out of place. I've had a story for my Necron army kicking around in my head for a while that I've been meaning to put to paper; an offshoot of the Mehrit Dynasty, though this one being directed by a Master Control program and a Lord just starting to succumb to the destroyer plague.

The biggest part was that the Necrons were no longer slaves of the Ctan but instead rebelled and broke them into shards before they entered stasis for 65 million years. Were they used to be the silent armies serving the antediluvian old gods now they have a more humanized element with their dynasties and politicking. Oh and they no longer have FTL super ships with interita-less drives that allow them to jump anywhere in the galaxy without issue. Instead they now use Doleman Gates to breach the Webway and make use of it. I've warmed up to the new lore for the most part, though sometimes I miss the unknowable monsters they used to be. Tyranids have that distinction now.

There was a WH40k thread I wasn't aware of? I'll report myself to the Lord Commissar for punishment then... Now I know where to find the guys liking my rather modest Gladius -thread then. Last post in April, damn it...

Changing the name is brilliant idea! All WH40k stuff under the same roof, I approve.
And for the heck of it:
