Oh and if you think I posted this in some way to support Shepard, you'd be dead wrong. Shepard has the personality of a brick wall.

The only thing Ryder does better than Shepard is being inexperienced and a dumbass. Shepard spends their time doing whatever someone tells them to do without question.

So really, none of them are good protagonists.

Seeing as they both fall into the same problems, they are both equally as bad as each other.

Oh and do know ace combat.

I forgot to mention that I have not played AC7, the one before it left a bad impression on me.

As for AC7, I may get around to it once I've completed my W40K army projects (which has been on ice, on and off, since I started playing ME back in 2008, hence were my bitterness comes from that franchise).

Ace Combat is just... It would be such a great game if it was more believable. Ditch the animeness and stick with the real world instead of Strangereal.

Of course, if it were up to me, it'd be a straight up flight-sim, where fuel is a thing, as are AIM's, realistic flight physics, fuel count, etc. Also, if the protag stuck with one aircraft. Pick it, whether you wanna drive a Mudhen or a Viper or a Raptor. Or make you a Navy Pilot if you want to drive the Superbug or CATOBAR Panther. Hell, throw in some STOVL craft if you select flying for the Jarheads.

It's the F-35 (hugely unpopular designation and name, everyone hates Lightning II, which is weak as fuck as a name.) Aircrew and support have taken to calling it the Panther for the Air Force, and the Navy hates flying a plane named after an Air Force plane. Marines are pissed because they never get to name their ships, which is probably a good thing; can you imagine a 5th or even 6th-gen fighter or attack plane named after a crayola color?

Irony as she is cast though, the Air Force's crew nickname was actually the name of a Navy Jet. I guess that tells you who has the better fliers - Air Force don't like their name so they call it by an old Navy name to give it more teeth. Meanwhile, the Navy refuses to fly any dainty bird that took after something that didn't have sea legs. 

Double irony, as I'm trying to get back into the military, via the Air Force this time. Joke's on me I guess.

It isn't at everything except A2A, and give it a chance to get longer in the tooth, and it'll beat the Typhoon there too. Don't listen to all that shit that the Panther is a sub-par fighter, everyone and everything I hear from the know says it's got fangs for dogfighting. It's bite is just as mean as its kick for Strike. Typhoon is agile though, but I'd still honestly say the French have a better overall platform with the Rafale. Who the fuck knows what the Swedes were thinking with their SAABs, they can't even meet mission for their Air Force. It's a shame, because I really want to like the Gripen, but it is just not going to be a survivable platform past 2027. And the poor Swedes are stuck with for the next 25-30 years, since they just got them barely a decade and a half ago.

Well supposedly you guys are trying to build a real badass 6th gen platform. Hope it works out for you guys, you've been wanting to get back into business with home-grown stuff for a while.
