Lol i am not gonna finish my dai/trespasser playthrough in time for release, i don't have the power to unlock What Pride Had Wrought, but i won't be able to start the download till 5-6 hours after release time aka 3am anyways, I'll just keep playing while my slow ass internet downloads it XD

Going to bed. Which means Tomorrow will be that DAY! Halloween that is. But also, the day where I have no idea what to do until Steam unlock the download. Then no idea what to do while I wait for it to finish downloading. And then I'm probably away at the gym before I can even make my character.  |

Watching some Walkthroughs of the beginning of the game and I’m really enjoying what I’m seeing. No huge, heavy story-related spoilers but just my thoughts about Rook and the companions: There’s some good storytelling going on with Rook. You can begin to define them in the beginning of the game through self-reflection in the meditation room. Think of when Josie asked the Inquisitor about their past, but more than that. I also really like how Rook can either take charge or show less confidence in themselves in being THE leader.
As far as the positive and hopeful tone among the companions and Rook’s ability to be an “asshole”… to me, it just doesn’t fit with the story. The story doesn’t need it. It needs what it’s already doing, and it fits really well. I also think this criticism has been mischaracterized. They’re not at each other’s throats, sure, but they’re also not holding hands and jumping through the crossroads like they’re starring in a Disney channel movie. It’s giving more so that the world is literally about to end, so we’re gonna be here for each other.
Their current journeys are dark and it almost feels hopeless. That’s why I think it fits so well. Anyway…. SOON.

I can't believe we're finally going to play a new DA!! Well it probably won't be before tomorrow because the game is available at 5:00 PM at my place and time to download... Maybe I'll have time to create my first Rook before going to bed. I'm mostly posting because I appreciate both of our avatars. The tarot artstyle is one of the awesomest things this series got, in a subgenre so constricted by both necessary and unnecessary clichés. It's the series' identity if it ever had one 
Anywho - I tracked down a GameStop downtown that actually happens to carry a used Series S and I'll somehow make it through metropolitan rush hour public transportation fun to pick it up before I can even start downloading, let alone set up a new console etc.
You will not be the only one seeing maybe the CC at best by the end of the day

The environments are colorful, beautiful, and vibrant. I like the way the trees look, the rubble, and the overall vibe of the maps. They've learned from Inquisition in the best of ways in that regard. The soundtrack is another stand out. The score is exceptional and that's hard to do in an RPG it seems. Kudos.
