Dragon Age The Joyguard (formerly Hype Train) [Spoilers]

Super excited to play through this next chapter in the world of Thedas. I'm always interested in uncovering more history and lore, meeting and getting to know and adventuring with some new companions, and creating a new and layered protagonist to add to my varied stable.

I won't commit to my canon Rook until after I hear more about Mass Effect Next (specifically if we get to play as something other than human-was going to play my first canon straight male character with an alien, but, if stuck with human, I will want my Rook to fill that slot with Qunari). Someday, my canon Rook will be a flippant charmer, and either a male dwarf warrior (Reaper from Mourn Watch) romancing Emmrich, or a male Qunari rogue (Veil Ranger from Lords of Fortune) romancing Harding. In the meantime, I will run my alternate to explore the game as a diplomatic and kind female elf rogue (Saboteur from Shadow Dragons) or warrior (Slayer) romancing either Taash or Bellara.

Decided that this would be the best place to mention it, but started another one of my 'lead up to Dragon Age The Veilguard' things, started rereading Tevinter Nights from the beginning. Still on Three Trees and the big one I am looking forward to rereading is the Wigmaker Job given all the variances Lucanis seems to draw around here, so we'll see how that goes.

So cool shield tossing Warrior (any Warrior).
We have a DPS ice mage (Evoker).
We have a roguish melee mage (Spellblade).
We have a turret/trap based rogue (Saboteur).

I can't play 4 characters at the same time!

It's kinda funny how this both a spoiler and not a spoiler since I still remember that leak of

way back.

I have 6 playthroughs planned. One for each faction. Within those playthroughs, my first will be as a human mage, unsure if male or female, romancing Neve. A playthrough as a male dwarf warrior romancing Harding. One as a qunari. The rest I will decide when I start a playthrough.

I've officially pre ordered the deluxe edition of Veilguard! I'm aboard the hype train where it truly has no brakes!

The more that's revealed on the game the more my hype does increase. Something I would personally like is actually more information on Rook. Seeing more of the companions is nice but there are things about Rook I would like to know. Example, what is Rook social status as a Shadow Dragon Mage going to be assuming they will be from Tevinter? Would a Qunari Rook from Rivani actually be or have been apart of the Qun? While I would like but don't expect a Origin style of Background quest for Rook I am still very interested in some background info on our Rooks and even their surnames. Considering this is the only character I can control I would like to know more about the factions they are apart of. A factions week would've been nice too
