Guys I'm at a loss again! I watched the S/B warrior gameplay this morning and it looks so awesome now I'm back to which class I should start with. - This game seems primed for rogues, but I always play rogue, The Hawke is The Rogue, and I want Harding in my party as often as possible (I think) - I still like my plan of bringing back a matured Bethany as a grey warden mage, I never play mages but the gameplay looked so cool and interesting - In most RPGs I start with a glass canon archer rogue and my second character is an ultra tank, support focused S/B warrior type for contrast. This gameplay looks so fun, I'd captain America darkspawn in their faces all day ffs. Plus if Davrin turns out to be an ass, there are no other tanks in the team. But I have no char in mind for that whatsoever, aaand my HoF and Inquisitor is a warrior. Ahhh. Yes this is serious. I know it is. I cannot decide between mage or rogue. A dude or lady. I know it is. I cannot decide between mage or rogue. A dude or lady. The warden background is down for first playthrough. And like you I even wonder if I should play warrior, cos I never did in DA, and it looks easier to play. This is torture. I know lots of previewer played with their foot (not their fault they were given new high level class to play out of the blue) but sometimes you stumble on someone who plays real good. And mages starts looking Great! So I'm like "meh rogue" Then i stumble on a video with someone mastering the rogue and doing funky things with the bow. And I'm like "I love some cool bow gameplay!" This video is probably one with the best gameplay. I saw a guy jumping with a bow and doing multiple pew pew pew that's not in there though. Don't remember how spoilery the video is, but it was linked multiple times before in here. Tabernac this is freaking torture! I actually bit the bullet and watched the video (PSA it is as spoiler free as it could be, featuring exclusively non sequitur combat, no bosses) and HO-LY every single class looks amazing. Honestly I'm floored, I thought corinne Busche going on and on about the combat was just marketing pleasantries, but this is a whole new level for bioware. No weird brag but I'm a martial artist and do pcap work on the side, so that's to say I look very close at this stuff and I cheered vocally multiple times. Again, they ve simply never had this quality in their games (I'd love to know the actors, that couldn't be from a library) It's probably gonna be mage now after all, but really only for novelty. That Bo staff fighting style with 540 flips landing into a barrier is fucking nuts. Wonder if the funky stuff looks anything like this: Freaking poetry man. And then some, brother. You will be pleased. I also avoid any footage but this just triple sold the game to me |
