During Minrathous for the first time, it finally felt like Dragon Age to me (outside of a Solas scene) ✌🏻

During Minrathous for the first time, it finally felt like Dragon Age to me (outside of a Solas scene) ✌🏻 yeah it's funny talking a good game here but as I noted there is something missing. Something that doesn't quite hit right. The Solas scenes are definitely top notch so far and as I noted all the math, effectively,of this being a DA game is here. But yeah Inquisition didn't hit its stride till after IYHSB and will be Minrathous bound shortly.

Other than combat is there any other reason to pick a different class? More for rogue vs warrior?

I made this a couple days later then intended. But for DAV launch i made the turnip and mutton pie from the DA cookbook. I goofed on a couple of directions, but it still came out delicious! I also made some adjustments. Since I don't eat lamb, I used beef stew meat. It's like a chicken pot pie but with a unique flavor, quite tasty!

This is Arlathan Forest side quest spoiler regarding the spirit crying out on the boat aravel. gervaise21 you might like this one, since you're watching and reading spoilers anyway So as soon as you get to Arlathan forest near the Veil Jumper Camp you start seeing all these tree people. Some of them are clearly in positions of terror and horror and seem to even look to be being consumed by the dirt itself before they were frozen in wood. I assumed, oh, these are tree people from the fall of Arlathan in ancient times. Like the notes and echoes we had in DAI about how the pathways closed, they starved to death. Or the floors disappeared and they fell to their doom. But no. They are current Dalish living in Arlathan and the release of the Evanuris and thinner veil has made the magic go weird. There is a journal where a small group’s feet “became wood” and their Keeper, in the same predicament, instructed them to pray and get their last words out because this was it, they would not be saved. Tied in with how we got the quest, which is we spoke to a spirit crying out about the pain in their legs as they became stuck to the ground
This is the second most grim thing I've encountered since playing. The horror is defintely in this game.

For me, the horror started with the village in the forest. I was shocked to see that Bioware somehow made the blight even scarier.

Mage combats (with staff) are better than I've expected. Yes, the enemies will get on top of me but I have enough options to deal with.
I especially enjoy using i-frame during the ability cast to dodge a huge incoming attack.

Things I like: Found another easter egg and was amused.
Harding's personal quest early in act I had good voice acting.
The Arlathan Aravel Spirit quest was grim and disturbing and I liked it.
Arlathan forest kinda has hints of Trespasser music?

Not doing a good job, well maybe on the exploraiton front much at all still not picking up a lot of side quests and what not...but also justs found one of the statues in the Crossroads and I still haven't found anyone who can explain it to me... in game.
Course I keep comparing this game to Inquisition and the game really opened up after act 1 to so...maybe? I am just nervous to miss stuff espcially considering I have a feeling on some of what's going to happen.

Like I'm finding it hard to find out how specific ailments work and what they do. But I'm slowly figuring it out. Did you get the altars figured out? I can help if not.

If you are talking about the Evanuris altars I haven't even found one yet. Though its weird I know there is supposedly a lot of exploration in the Crossroads and I am sure there is so either my dumbass is just completley clueless on how to get to it, or it opens up later, because it just seems...very closed off right now. Not that I am complaining exactly, just worried.

UGH. Put on a build/ unique items video just as background noise to see what's in the game and I am being spoiled rotten because of it. Course again I can barely hear it for reasons so not picking up a lot of context and what not and again my policy with spoilers is complicated but...OOF.

That explains why it could one-shot me at level 7. I still killed his sorry butt, despite apparently being under-leveled by a factor of three (and on Underdog difficulty). The secret was simple: don't get hit. 😄

Any suggestion for a faction background for Qunari mage Rook? Mourn watch seems like they have good bonuses, but ugly armor. Tempoet by the crows. Any suggestions?

Any suggestion for a faction background for Qunari mage Rook? Mourn watch seems like they have good bonuses, but ugly armor. Tempoet by the crows. Any suggestions? Characters can wear the look of any armor they find, there is no faction restrictions on items/skins. As for a Qunari Mage, not a lot of Qunari with the Crows that I saw. So good choice to feel "special".
