Yet it was completely fine when Playstation had their exclusives. Did Sony ever "steal" an entire studio that used to be multi platform? Exclusives suck for the consumer. Period. But you can't compare the two scenarios. I wasn't even implying morality to the exclusive prospect. Only that they framed it such a ridiculous evasive greasy way instead of flat out saying they're going exclusive. Deal with it. And that's a bad thing? It's competition and incentive to have Sony to try harder. Like I said where was all this groaning when Sony had Spider-Man, Uncharted and TLOU for their console? Microsoft armed themselves with billions of dollars and bought floundering companies like Obsidian and a company that was veering on the edge like Bethesda. You need some exclusives in order to effectively sell your consoles. That being said it's corporate speak, but obviously everyone can see that it's VERY likely future Bethesda games will be for Xbox/PC.

I was mostly amused by the obtuse phrasing. Look, I see this acquisition as a good thing since Bethesda can't get any more disappointing to me. So change gives me some hope back for a better future. And since I'm on PC I'm not negatively affected by this. At least they got bought before every Bethesda fan on console has a PS5 under the Christmas tree crying. So people can indeed switch this generation. Which was the idea of course. Obsidian was going bankrupt indeed. So I'm glad they got bought. No idea if their future games will be exclusive. Outer Worlds was multi platform, played it on my dusty PS4, so that was cool. Microsoft HAD to do something this generation. I tip my hat to this brilliant move even though I hate exclusive deals. If they're more hands off than EA though, this could lead to a number of cool RPGs. Win/win on PC at least. I'm not using GamePass yet but it will surely offer more interesting games in the future than EA's subscription model, for me anyway.

Speaking of EA Play..... I think they're going to team up with Game Pass next month so that's even more games!

Speaking of EA Play..... I think they're going to team up with Game Pass next month so that's even more games! November 10th. Corporate Math at its finest for I bet Microsoft offered EA more then what they were getting from the individual subscribers so EA gets ahead, but at the same time Microsoft makes GamePass even more enticing for some groups of people by having full access to EA games so they generate more interest and profits from that program.

Can't think of a single EA game I'd want to play if I had a subscription...
There probably are a couple of indie games I forgot about. But eh.
I'm not really the target audience for subscription models. I play few games. And there are a few older games I keep coming back to like FO4 and NMS that eat up more playtime than all other one off games combined. It's cool for the consumer though that EA is teaming up with GamePass.

I've noticed the general responds to this often seems to be "I have a pc so I don't give a shit" Which is kind of a childish mentality.

It's gaming fast food for the most part of their lineup.
