This must be an issue in North America, never heard anything like this in Europe. I've had very good experiences with MSI and the prices are comparable to other manufacturers. Yep. Here -at least for me in the US are junk just as much as ASUS is.

I buy products straight from the manufacturer not the 3rd parties. When it comes to 3rd parties I do no trust them when dealing with hardware. It can be the equivalent to buying used. No telling how long components bought from 3rd parties have been being used -even if they claim its new." So you've never bought a GPU that is branded from companies like EVGA (which is Nvidia's #1 Board Partner), Gigabyte, ASUS or MSI? Are you saying you've only bought the Founder's Edition cards directly from Nvidia? (or the equivalent directly from AMD?) Just curious, because the after market cards from companies like EVGA always have faster clock speeds etc in comparison to the basic designs direct from Nvidia. And incidentally, EVGA has been Nvidia's #1 Board Partner (as in Executive Board, not motherboard....just to be clear) since their inception in 1999 so I'm just curious. And legally, say you RMA a GPU...and for whatever reason your card is not fixable, and they have to send you out a replacement card--but said replacement is not brand new (because they don't have any brand new ones in stock). The card they send you has been refurbed/repaired and is in perfect (like new) working order. Legally, they have to tell you they are sending you a refurb, not a *NEW new* card. When I refer to third parties I refer to only GPU purchases via Amazon or Newegg. In those cases I purchase only if it is from Newegg or Amazon. If someone is listed as: Joe from Idaho then nope I don't buy from them. Also I have never bought a FE GPU from AMD or Nvidia that is a fire tornado in the waiting in my opinion.
I don't purchase GPU's from Nvidia primary sponsers: EVGA, ASUS ect.
My AMD GPU's come from the Sapphire while my Nvidia GPU's come from ZOTAC: I don't like it that both Sapphire and ZOTAC are based in Hong-Kong.
THAT is not the reason though that I choose them -it is actually twofold: 1. These cards clocks are actually not that high in a default overclock but it is stable.
2. Going off of that: these cards can actually be UNDERCLOCKED some and remain stable.
Yes. I underclock my GPU's. I ask you to ask me why I dare you.
Would not happen I will NOT EVER RMA a GPU The reason is simple: I don't trust Used or Refurbished.
If they are going to give me a refurbished or used GPU they can just keep it instead.
There are too many variables... You could get a diamond in the rough or a pumpkin pie that has been sitting out for a year. Not worth wasting my money hoping for the prior and getting the latter...
I would just drop Used or Refurbished and go getting the cheapest NEW GPU for the subject matter needed.

My line of thought for that particular comment was that I was trying to recall a comment from a Jayz Two Cents video where he mentioned calling one of the larger corporate offices of MSI in China, since the US office was closed at 9 pm ET. He was speaking about the recent MSI card skimming scandal that went on with one the MSI subsidiaries. MSI's HQ is in New Taipei City, Taiwan. I know because I've actually been there a couple times. I also took a tour in TSMC in Hsinchu Science Park back in 2012. Taiwan really is a beautiful island, though the heat and the humidity in summer are quite unforgiving. Like Japan, they do amazing things with their limited resources. However, it's becoming more difficult to find hardware that are manufactured in Taiwan. Even they outsource most of their manufacturing to China and in the future, Southeast Asia.

When I refer to third parties I refer to only GPU purchases via Amazon or Newegg. In those cases I purchase only if it is from Newegg or Amazon. If someone is listed as: Joe from Idaho then nope I don't buy from them.
-Completely agree with this point. When I purchase anything from Amazon.ca.....IF I can help it at all, even if I have to pay slightly more, I awlays look for things that say "Shipped and sold by Amazon" Not a 3 party like "Sold by Joe's Place....fulfilled by Amazon". WHEN I am forced into a situation like that where only 3rd party sellers are available, I do do an extensive review of User Reviews to find out about the seller's rep. I also contact the seller with specific questions. If both are positive and I receive my answers I am looking for presented in a manner I was wanting....Then, only then, do I make my purchase from Joe.
-I also agree and understand your reasoning RE: refurbished cards, and I am of the same mind. Fortunately, the one GTX 760 that I had to RMA to EVGA....They actually sent me a truly, completely brand-spanking-new NEW card in return. I was able to confirm that it was NEW NEW NEW by logging into my EVGA account and verifying the P/N, S/N...and they also gave me what they called a "batch date", which I correctly assumed was the date that this particular unit rolled off the assembly line along with others, and the dates matched. And legally, they have to tell you in writing that the card you are receiving as a replacement has been "refurbished". They will send me a piece of paper, a brief letter basically, that explains the situation with the old GPU and then tell you that the card sent out as a replacement was refurbished, like new. defective parts were replaced with new parts and the card was reconstructed, then certified.
And this one GTX 760 as I said previously, is still running in a friend's PC and has not failed yet. That one 760 is the only GPU from EVGA that I have ever had to RMA. So thankfully, I have experienced excellent build quality with their stuff. But also excellent Customer Service, which is why I buy from EVGA.
Hell, I would even love to buy a motherboard from EVGA....If I could afford them and if CanadaCOmputers would stock them. The one Z490 EVGA motherboard that Canada COmputers used to carry...they're completley out of stock in all stores across Canada and online and in their warehouse.....But it is still listed at 779.00 CAD. Nearly 800 dollars for a motherboard! And I thought my 650 dollar Aorus Master was expensive! And even though it is not released yet, not in Canada anyway....the newer Z590 series, I am betting will be the same cost from Canada COmputers-- of course that price is inflated by at least 25 percent, because they need to make money after they buy it from EVGA at cost. I get that. That's how marketing works. Just sucks for the Consumer that the Canadian dollar is so low and worth so little in comparison to the US. I mean, CPUs, Motherboards, GPUS..... Items that are said to be sold for 400 USD are 500 here, and that's just converting the value of the Dollar. Add to that cross-border Duty, Shipping, taxes (on taxes) and at least a 25% mark-up in sale price at the store level. So 502.05 CAD, plus 50 CAD Shipping plus 200 dollars Duty/taxes...... plus at least a 25% mark-up in retail cost.....for the 400 dollar US Item, you would pay here in Canada 991.92.
I learned that the hard way when I ordered my GTX 1080 FTW 2 directly from EVGA off their website back in March of 2017 (just before ANDROMEDA came out) because I had sold my pair of 980s a few weeks earlier for 700....But then was left without a card. And with ANDROMEDA due out soon, I didn't want to not be able to play it because I was stuck without a GPU, and I had no idea when the 1080 FTW 2 was coming to Canada. So I ordered it for 779 USD......And when I was said and done, I paid about 1150 for it CAD. Burned myself in the ass, because less than 2 weeks after I received my card from EVGA....I saw it on CanadaComputers site for less than 1000 dollars....I think it was something around 869.00 if I remember. It was somewhere in the neighbour of 300 dollars less expensive here, than what I had paid to have it shipped directly from EVGA.
I learned my lesson then, never to order anything PC related directly from the US Manufacturer....because especially with our now-screwed-up NAFTA we really get hosed. (thanks Trump!). But with designs being shipped from the US overseas to Taiwan where the item is then manufactured....Then the completed item is then shipped back to the US (they pay import duty/taxes on those items).....And if we up here in Canada buy said item....we pay again duty and taxes on top of the already dutied/taxed item, which further increases the cost to us (me). And this North American Free Trade Agreement.....It now only benefits the US, thanks to Trump and Trudeau because he allowed Trump to screw Canada....rolled over and took it, nothing ever really applies. Next to nothing is actually made in either the US, Canada or Mexico, which would allow Canadians to actually use the NAFTA to our advantage.
Basically, while Canada thrives on mass Import/Export business (such as raw materials like Nickel, Lumber, Iron, Oil etc) that we have in abundance and sell offshore....for the daily life of general consumers, there is nothing advantageous about the NAFTA-- especially not the way it has been re-written now. Everything is actually made overseas, so there is nothing that would enable canadians to take advantage of what the NAFTA allegelly has to offer, which is the benefit of not paying Duty/Taxes or Shipping costs on any items made in Canada, US or Mexico. Everything is made overseas and then imported back, so the wondrous NAFTA doesn't actually apply.

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!! (sorry for the caps...I am just really excited). I finally got my PC back and it is running perfectly....I mean perfectly. And it looks amazing. I asked Canada Computers to do the cable management, and they did a nice job, really nice I think....But for some reason I can't fit the PSU shroud back on....I think it's because the way they wired it, the cables are bunched up and preventing a solid hold for the PSU shroud. But what I am most impressed with is the cleanliness of the inside. It looks as clean as anything I have seen on Youtube.
I will post pictures later...if I can remember how to do that. SOmeone sent me a great link, I think it was TemporalVanguard, or maybe Rewind......Anyway, I will find the link and post some pictures here later.

Fear not, for I was once helpless as thee, but then Temporal Vanguardian posted this in february: Just save the image on your desktop as .JPG Go to:
Click start uploading. Browse to file and select it and click open. Chose the method you want. Then pick upload. Will go to next page saying upload complete. Select the embed code option to viewer links Copy the link and post in new tab or new webpage
Once it loads then right click on the image and select to view image. Should open the image in a page all by itself. Take note of the webpage address.
Just copy THIS address and use the insert image in the create post part here on BSN. It's very intuitive to use. Someone actually paid attention. Color me surprised.
There you go.

ibb.co/QDcsgxdHere is a picture of my new build 99.99999% complete. The only thing I still have to tinker with is the PSU Shroud, though the Technician at the Canada COmputers store that I was at, advised me NOT to put it back on, because he said "with the shape of the shroud and the huge 200mm fan on the bottom....this open space here in the front will be a pocket of air that will create a vacuum of stationary air. You will have much better air flow and cooling if you leave the shroud off." Still Undecided. Thoughts?

With it removed, it would definitely help with the cooling. But if you care about the aesthetics, you should just test it yourself. Do a couple long benchmark runs and monitor the temperatures with it and without it. So you can decide whether or not it's worth the tradeoff.

I say get a mirror and angle it to show off the RGB Inards -if that is the reason with all the lighting.
I as well say no to the PSU Shroud. So your build is 100% complete and leave it as is... Something about PSU Shrouds is that they usually hurt more than it helps when comes to heat.
Literally they are a hunk of metal that can actually act as a heat sink. Which if done correctly could allow you to direct heat to the shroud and the use fans to exhaust the heat out... But that would required you to reverse the air flow of the case most likely...
That said IF the Shroud is that important you could punch it full of holes: HOWEVER that technician definitely deserves a bonus.
Most would never tell you important information.

Yes I have seen shrouds with holes....But as far as I'm concerned that's just a place for dust to collect...then get blown around or caught in the vacuum of air between your down-facing GPU and (potentially up-facing PSU) which would create another air pocket....and any dust that had settled on or in the shroud because of the holes....would just get circulated.

Here's a random question for you: In terms of RAM, I bought 32gb (2x 16gb chips in DUAL Channel Config) and though my CPU allegedly only supports 2933...somehow the Tech at Canada COmputers got the RAM to actually run (and be completely stable) at its tested speed of 3000 MHz. NOt sure how he did that, but it's stable and it works great so I'm just gonna leave well enough alone. But thinking back to a comment that my dad made when we were first building it....He questioned why I "only bought two chips". I guess he was thinking they were 4x8. But then I told him they were 2x16 and he just said "oh okay, that makes sense, especially if you are running in Dual Channel, not Quad like your old system". So, fine. But that got me thinking...... Aside from aesthetics and visual appeal of having all four DIMM Slots populated....At the speeds I and timings I am working with, would I see a noticeable difference in actual measurable performance if I bumped up to 64 gb RAM? Is there any reason why I would want or need to bump up to 64 gb? Is 64 gb overkill? How much is too much and just wasted money? I think my new system looks fantastic and runs/performs incredibly....so aside from the most basic of visual appeals (and the bragging rights/foolishness of being able to say "I HAVE 64 GB of Memory!" I honestly can't see that bumping up would actually serve any viable purpose. Can someone set me straight and ease my mind before I click the "Order Again" button on Amazon.....??

Because you won the silicon lottery with those chips.
In my experience anytime Ram runs past its listed clock speed its usually an overclock.
That said instead of going for 64 GB which is overkill for almost anyone. I say do what he suggests here but in the reverse since you already got the 32GB: Appropriately time linked:
It will save you money but increase your performance without the rare 64GB Ram freezing Windows 10 issues.
PLUS it will be less expensive but also gives a further talking point: Them: You got 64GB? You: No. Them: 32?
You: No.
Them: Don't tell me your using 16 or less? You: No.
Them: Then what? You: 48. Them: WHAT?????? WHY????? HOW?????? You: Them: But WHYYYYYYYYYY????????????????
You: Time to teach them.

What do you think of this camera? It says video but is that just for short instances? Would I need more SD space for a long drawn out showing?
Or is it a ripoff camera?

I for once am having trouble choosing between these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082DJ19CKVS VS
They look identical in technical specs or am I wrong? It actually looks like the T-Force is shorter than the Corsair -while G.Skill dwarfs them all. So the TF ram would it fall into the Low Profile range? Thinking ahead on the D15 fitting. Thoughts?

Yeah, they all seem pretty much identical. It actually looks like the T-Force is shorter than the Corsair -while G.Skill dwarfs them all. So the TF ram would it fall into the Low Profile range? Thinking ahead on the D15 fitting. Thoughts? Haha, no. The Teamgroup ones are HUGE! The G.Skill Trident Z is actually the shortest at 1.73 inches. Teamgroup T-Force Delta is 1.93 inches and the Vengeance RGB PRO being the tallest at 2.01 inches. For NH-D15, you need real low profile RAM like these instead.

Finally true LP.
Would these work together?
So go for a 2x8 and 2x16 for 48GB instead of 64GB? I know. I know.
They don't match in size.
I don't really think I will need the latter.
