Ah.
Finally true LP. Would these work together?
So go for a 2x8 and 2x16 for 48GB instead of 64GB? I know. I know.
They don't match in size.
I don't really think I will need the latter. Check the timings and the voltage. If they both kits match (i.e. 18-22-22-42 at 1.35V), they should work fine and you'll still get dual-channel. Although it might be asymmetrical dual-channel? I'm not really sure.

Or maybe it should go bigger to smaller: Slot 1: 16 Slot 2: 8 Slot 3: 16 Slot 4: 8 ?

In my experience anytime Ram runs past its listed clock speed its usually an overclock. I concur; it's likely OC.

What do you think of this camera? It says video but is that just for short instances? Would I need more SD space for a long drawn out showing?
Or is it a ripoff camera?
It appears to be a cheap action cam. At $90 you probably get your money's worth, but that's it.
I couldn't find any specs for the lens, but I would imagine it's a wide lens.
Shooting or showing? Apparently the battery gives you about 1h30mins of 4k video shooting time.
It looks to be a very basic action cam, no bells or whistles. Understandable, when the cheapest GoPro Hero is something like $250.

Thinking ahead on the D15 fitting. For NH-D15, you need real low profile RAM like these instead. Again, I concur. As a NH-D15 user I can confirm that you want very slim sticks.

Is it forced to shoot 4k video or can you reduce the resolution?

Although it might be asymmetrical dual-channel? I'm not really sure. Nothing wrong with asymmetrical With this configuration you get 32GB worth dual channel and 16GB single channel. Not ideal. At least that's how it worked in the olden days. Check the manual to be sure.

There's 4k, 2.7k, 1080p and 720p. Well zoom or not I can push the camera in for zoom if needed. It may be jarring but at least it will work. Well in that case if lower resolution that may extend battery/SD capacity. So far it seems the best camera choice.

I checked, and that's how it still works. If you use 4x the same stick, you get quad channel. Otherwise your MoBo reverts to flex mode, like I said above. From Intel's web page: "Quad-channel mode: This mode is enabled when four (or a multiple of four) DIMMs are identical in capacity and speed, and are put in quad-channel slots."
There are no stupid questions, just answers. Get some sleep though.

INTEL!!!!!?
I am building on AMD Ryzen. Is it still the same on Ryzen?
Its ok I am not looking at Quad channel -just looking at dual channel possibilities only.
I was planning 2x 16GB and 2x 8GB of matching voltages and frequencies. I thought Dual Channel would comply if the pairs were in slots 1&3 & 2&4 comparatively.
But your saying that doesn't comply if band set 1&3 is different than set 2&4?
With what your saying I should go 1x32 1x16 stick instead .

With what your saying I should go 1x32 1x16 stick instead . The technology stays the same regardless. But yeah, I should know this stuff by heart, but I've forgotten more than I care to admit. I had to dig up the original white paper from 2003 to set this straight. So, I quote:
"In this context, “matching” modules means: 1. Both modules are the same capacity (e.g. both are 256MB, or 512MB) 2. Both modules are the same speed (e.g. both are PC2700 or PC3200) 3. Both have the same number of chips and module sides (e.g. both have the same number of chips on the module, and both are either single-sided or double-sided)."
This applies to the channels however, so you can use different capacities, as long as they are in different channels:
Channel A: 16+8 Channel B: 16+8
That way it should work alright.
edit: i.e. capacities per channel must match.

I for once am having trouble choosing between these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082DJ19CKVS VS
They look identical in technical specs or am I wrong? It actually looks like the T-Force is shorter than the Corsair -while G.Skill dwarfs them all. So the TF ram would it fall into the Low Profile range? Thinking ahead on the D15 fitting. Thoughts?
Personally for what it's worth my money is on GSKILL. They're fast, reliable, excellent performing....and in case you ever need to RMA a chip, it's a very easy process with good service. Back in 2019, I had a Raipjaws4 chip go defentive......and after testing my RAM in every way I could, I found the faulty chip and I sent it back. They sent me an identical one with no questions asked. And I got it within 72 hours.

16 slot 1

At least dual channel still will work.
Thank you. Now I can go to bed.

So the Corsair Vengeance is looking much more promising.

News Update: I think (fingers, toes, paws, ears, whiskers, drumsticks all crossed)....I may have finally, FINALLY found the culprit to the weird *FLASHING* that has plagued my system and been the bane of my existence since May 3rd.......My Logitech G 502 HERO Gaming Mouse! My fecking mouse! I bought it in August of 2019, at the same time I bought my Black Widow keyboard. It's perfectly clean, the mouse is, and has been a great mouse (really improved Gaming performance). But something sparked in my brain, and I decided to swap it for my older original G5 (c 2005) which is dirty (and has a ridiculously tight mouse wheel...the reasons for buying the HERO).....But as soon as I plugged the original G5 in (and for the last 45 mins of use.....ABSOUTELY ZERO, no flashing whatsoever. I mean, it's just..... *gone*. Totally, perfectly, completely....gone.
I can't believe it. I can't explain it....and I'm quite bummed-out that such an expensive gaming mouse crapped out on me in 2 years. But I have been surfing the Web and navigating Windows....with absolutely zero issues of any kind when using my original G5.

I've tried that already, even uninstalling the software and just using Basic Windows the flashing problem still exists. But as sooon as I plug my old mouse back in-- even withouts its drivers....the problem completely vanishes.

uninstalling the software and just using Basic Windows the flashing problem still exists I'd say 99% of the time, mouse flickering is software related. However in this case it's probably not. I did quick googling, and Logitech G 502 HERO seems to have a pretty bad failure rate; the micro switches fail, as well as the USB connector. That would cause flickering for sure.

Thanks for checking that Rewind. I was hoping it was software/firmware/Driver related as well.....But yesterday I uninstalled all that, just used it as a basic Windows-driven mouse and the problem still existed. Then to be doubly-sure....I even connected it to my HP Elitebook 8570W mobile worktation......and instantly, the problems appeared there as well. Then I went back to my PC and tried two older G4 and G5 series Mice from 2005, 2006 that have been in use for many years without failure......And THEY both work perfectly. No issues of any kind whatsoever. Even now at the writing of this post, I am using the older G4 (because my G5 the wheel is unbearably stiff, it's almost seized) and the G4 has zero problems and everything is perfect. I would even say that the G4 seems to be faster on screen that my G5, because the G5 felt like trying to roll a large snowball just to get the pointer to move a few inches.

Regarding plans to upgrade my rig this year: I went and pre-ordered something expensive; we'll see how it goes. Will keep you posted, but I'm sure the custom loop is out of the question atm.

My old original G5 Gaming Mouse is dreadfully slow and stiff. When playing Tomb Raider.....To make Lara move even 45 degrees in any direction....I had to swipe my mouse no less than seven times across the surface, and the reaction of button-press vs action on screen was about a half-second out, so it made the combative parts ridiculously hard even on EASY. Plus the Mouse Wheel is so stiff I think I've developed arthritis in my fingers over the past few hours....so all in all as far as Gaming is concerned this old G5 just doesn't cut it. Though I am relieved to say that it did 500000% SOLVE my Age-old flashing problem. So, yay for that!
But for my gaming future.....I have ordered the X17 from EVGA. After being burned by Logitech with the 502HERO....I'm not going back there again. I bought EVGA because I have several other products from them and hav always, awlays had excellent quality and service. Plus I emailed them with questions regarding the X17 Gaming Mouse and they say they will readily provide the stellar support I am so accustomed to if I should ever need it....even if the Mouse is long out of warranty. (Who can argue with that?) I have also read some very solid reviews of EVGA's X17 Gaming Mouse, and though I like Razer for their keyboards, I've heard that their Mice are "cheap knock-offs of Logitech's HERO line-up.....Just with far less build quality and even worse software." So that was enough for me to stay far away from Razer for Mice.
