I've found some areas of the Normandy you can kinda escape through the walls. You can do it at the drive core, and also at the front of the cockpit.

Just discovered it one day when I was trying to get as far back as possible, just basically hit the wall and wiggle around and you might get through.

I usually get stuck outside though 😂
