How do you think the mass effect fields Mordin mentions in ME2 help with sex?

If it’s only transmissible by Varren, that means somebody didn’t bring it but that there is a Varren on board giving it to people.
If it was someone bringing it, I think it’s Jack. We know she likes to sleep around, and she really, really loves Varren.
But in all seriousness, Morton clearly meant the disease was evolving to spread in other ways like airborne, hence the unpleasant implications.
