The Epsilon Effect was apparently a rejected title for ME That's interesting when you consider that the letters SFX appeared on the ship in one of the previous teaser images, which is obviously a reference to Mass Effect's original codename.

Doubt it’s Shepard. Regardless of ending they’d have passed away half a millennium before this.
Ryder would be in the Pathfinder color scheme.
Liara I assume would also be in her color scheme. That or her obsession has gone far worse.
So new character is my guess.

I don't think it is Liara because they have already teased her. It seems to me whoever this ends up being is a "big reveal" otherwise why take 3 separate videos to show the face.

What ever they do, they will piss off someone As long as they have an idea they feel strongly about and doesn't stray too far from the core mechanics that players love, nothing else should matter. For instance, if it ends up being Shepard, I'll be very surprised and probably a bit cautious, but I'll also trust that they know what they're doing and not immediately turn into a nay-sayer with so little to judge on. Let them make the game they want to make, and then we'll see, many years from now (  ), whether they built it on a good foundation or not.
