So it looks like the BioWare merch shop is having a sale this March where different things are ~50% off. At the moment it seems that this discount applies to some art pieces and some collectibles, but that at different times in March it will apply to different types of merch. It seems that the 20% off codes that some people can make apply a further discount which 'stacks' in addition to the already-existing ~50% off ones, which is cool. Well, Happy 12th Anniversary ME3!

I am normally a pretty upbeat guy and ME and especially ME3 are some of my fondest gaming memories BUT is there anything to celebrate given we do not even have any idea when the next game will come out.

The wait for a new DA and ME game has been ridiculous to the point I have given up caring about DA but ME I so really want another trilogy let alone another game. I may however seriously be too old to play a third game if the next one is the start of a trilogy.

None shall play.

We are halfway there to the next ME!

I agree there are some good memories from the trilogy, mostly giving me a good laugh, but there is a lot to celebrate. Just this morning, I saved $3.98 grocery shopping. At this rate, I will have doubled the amount I've saved from 2023 by the end of this year. Wondering when a videogame comes out can't do that.

I'm tempted to fly out to Vegas to place a bet the next ME game doesn't release until 2028.

I'm not sure there will be another trilogy. I will say however, I wouldn't be surprised if the trilogy is remade. Remember 2027 is the 20th anniversary of ME1.

ah yes, too old. I don't worry about that stuff. If I did, I wouldn't get anything done. Why worry about something you have no control over?

No worries re the age it's just that I may not be physically, mentally or emotionally capable of playing the games anymore. The nursing home might not let me take my computer with me and if they do the bullet sounds may trigger the other patients. 

Well, now I'm depressed! 

I don't expect the next ME any sooner than 2027, and I'm prepared for 2028. Cross-gen, but enhancements for the next-gen release.

2029 sounds absurd to me for a studio that needs to provide, you know, product, at some point. But then again, it'll be at least 5.5 years between Anthem and DA4. (3.5 years since MELE but I'm not sure if we should count that) I just asssume Bioware doesn't want such a long gap ever again.

If we say that DA4 is even out late 2024, I can't trust Bioware to get out another major title in 2 years or less, so I scratch off 2026 until further notice. I think 2026 will be the quiet year besides ME teasing. 2025 may or may not have DA4 DLC but I don't anticipate longer term 'service'.


So I think it'll be ~5 years since MELE, ~10 years since MEA, ~15 years since the MET fully ended.

I waffled on whether to put this in the speculation thread or not, but I think given it potentially further elucidates on official MEME/MENext teasers, I've opted to put it here.

I am deaf, so I can't speak to the veracity of this, but I'm told by several people I've shared these videos with that the noises are similar. If that is the case, it makes me a little excited because I have been speculating about black holes / wormholes being a way to connect MEA and MEME/MENext since before this N7 Day video was released. I didn't get into Mass Effect (Legendary Edition) until January 2022 and finished MEA for the first time in late March 2022, for frame of reference. There's some really interesting designs in how the kett developed FTL travel using alcubierre drives, which has really interesting implications for the existence of and potential use of wormholes in the Mass Effect universe.

that is good question.  Also there is a possiblity for a black hole to be a wormhole. There is a lot of things we don't know about black holes and wormholes are theoretical as to my knowledge. 

Science does allow for the existence for wormholes given the physics theory models.  I have a rough idea of a fanfic that some elements of Interstellar. Yes it would need a dedicated thread to fully explore my ideas
