Know, I would not be confident in my current knowledge.
Knew? Yes I supervised for a contract company back in my early 20's. All managers/supers had to be certified every, er, two years? I wound up getting it three times or so.
Thankfully never have had to use it beyond the most basics.

I have never deleted my account. I don't see the point, I guess. If I wanted to stop coming here, I would just stop coming. But I don't know the circumstances here, so who knows.
Do you ever name inanimate objects that people do not typically name? For example, stuffed animals or dolls don't count, because people typically give them names. But if you named your blender Samuel, that would count, you glorious oddball.

Well, me and my sister named the two first family cars when we were kids, and about then I might also have named a bicycle. Much later, I also named all my ships in EVE online, but that's traditional.
But otherwise I'd have to say no. I form some kind of sentimental relationships with tools and other everyday items that I use. And they have a "name", but that is the name they came with, like: my 7 eight (W&N Series 7 No 8, a watercolor paintbrush), my HP (Hewlett Packard HP50G, a calculator), my Medici (Visconti Medici O-s, a pen), my blue mug (the blue mug I always use), and so on. I'm pretty sure I've never given anything an animistic name, even though I'm close to almost see them as animate. I'm usually melancholic about having to see something go, that has served me well and for a long time, like a pair of boots, for example, or a computer monitor.
Do you regularly sharpen your knives yourself? Kitchen knives, carving knives, pen knife...

No I never sharpen anything and of course as a result the items do not function as they should. Knives do not cut as they should, lawn mower blade does not cut as it should.
Do you have a lawn you have to mow?

Oh yeah, it's about 1/3 of an acre, larger than I'd like ...
But it's easy to mow, I have a Honda, it's self-propelled, so I'm just taking the mower for a walk each week.
I installed brick and cobblestone borders around landscaping, fence lines, etc., so not a lot of edging required.
Every fall, before storing it, I drain the fuel, change the oil and air filter, clean it up, check the spark plug ... and sharpen blades.
Each new year, when others are recovering from their New Year's celebrations, I sharpen all my knives ... kitchen, utility, Buck, etc.
In addition, I hone my kitchen knives prior to every use.
As a kid, we had crap knives, hated it, so put a fair amount into decent kitchen knives once I had enough resources for my own stuff.
Do you have any family traditions that are not related to holidays, birthdays, etc.?

Do you think some of your tastes in food and drinks have changed when you've grown older? yes, i now like all vegetables while i hated chards even as an adult (and bitter zucchini before that). I dont think i have trouble with anything now, just dont like salty anchovy. Only good stuff all around !! (well i m more intolerant to industrial garbage food though)
Do you often leave parts of your meals to be disposed ?

I hate winters. I know I didn't, when I was a kid, and occasional days, or nights, around Christmas and New Year, it can be okay, but I don't like winters. The thing I don't like about summers, is that they eventually always end. Do you have something in your life, understanding, produce or methods, that you are very particular about?

Do you have something in your life, understanding, produce or methods, that you are very particular about? Guess I do, when lifting weights. Most people think in order to become really strong you just lift heavy weights like bench press and squats regularly and eat like a pig and that's it - but that will only get you halfway there. I do lots of specialized training in certain intervals, like drop sets, pause sets, speed sets, forced repetition sets and many auxiliary exercises and movements most people probably never heard of. And don't get me started on nutrition. Becoming fit is super easy, becoming really strong is a meticulous, complex and sometimes frustrating process and many things need to work together and need to be done in certain ways to work. Do you have any hobbies that you take way too seriously?

I know of a lot of people who I think need a frontal lobotomy 😑 . But I don't think that was what you were asking about, so I'll have a bottle in front of me, thankyou. At least I can examine what's in it before I do anything.
Do you remember the first time you saw the 'Baldur's Gate' CD in the shop, examined it and wondered what it was about?

Yes, and I also remember the day when I discovered my dad bought me the original TIE Fighter Collector's Edition (3.5" Floppy Disk version complete with The Stele Chronicles and The Defender Of The Empire expansion pack). I came home from somewhere ( I seem to remember being at school that day, but that doesn't coincide with the game's release date of July 20th)...Nonetheless, I was running home from some place, I climbed up on our garbage shed and looked through the kitchen window to see the box on the kitchen table. Even back then in 1994, the Collector's Edition of TIE FIGHTER (considering the book and the expansion paco) was very expensive. It was 80.00 after tax back then, which is as expensive as any game now. I think the standard game was about 50.00, but Dad knew how much of a STAR WARS nut I was, so he splurged for the Collector's Edition.
Then many years later when DOS (and floppies) was effectively dropped as an OS and I couldn't get the game to run....I sold it in a garage sale. But to this very day, I kick myself that I didn't realize that the official paperback copy of The Stele Chronicles was in the box as well! If I had known I would have held that back and kept it for myself.
Luckily....about three years ago, I found a PDF version of the story, along with the Farlander Papers from my X-Wing game, so I downloaded both and now store the files on an external drive.
To date, of all the PC games I bought back then in the 90s....TIE FIGHTER remains probably the most expensive and one of my fondest memories.
Do you still play games from the original LUCAS ARTS?

Occasionally. But it has to be a really good book, like The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks;something that is intriguing and fast-paced to hold my interest. I've read other books, other authors (such as Stephen Lawhead) and while the story is moderately enjoyable, I'm not overly keen on the style of writing, and it is not the kind of book that I am unable to put down and want to just keep reading in order to find out what happens. Lawhead's books (for me) are more like a casual read, something I can read a chapter and enjoy it...but then put it down, walk away and go do something else. Or maybe even not pick it up again for another week before reading another chapter.
In contrast, The aforementioned Night Angel Trilogy I've read five times and I can spend all day reading it and forget to eat. I find Weeks' writing style and characters to be exciting, engaging and relatable so I want to find out what happens. Not to mention how the last book ends....I've bawled my eyes out every time even though I know how it ends, yet each time i read it I have discovered something new about the world, the story and the characters. For me, that is the mark of a good writer.

I've had a number over the years. Certainly Sigourney Weaver, certainly Lena Headey, let's see, anyone else?.. Oh yeah, Karen Allen and Angela Basset. I don't think there's any recent actress that I particularly like. ...Can't think of anyone right now at least... Edit: Cate Blanchett. Edit 2: Jodie Foster, dam it. Can't believe I forgot Jodie Foster!
Actors?.. Robert Davi, Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner, Kurt Russel, James Woods,.. Newer guys, Denzel Washington, Josh Brolin, Joaquin Phoenix,.. ...Even older guys? Uhmm,.. Steve McQueen. New guys? Chris Pratt, maybe.
Do you have any favorite comic or fiction character or characters?
