Well, as I understand it, you actually have to pitch ideas for comics to publishers. So maybe this was George Mann’s idea, as opposed to one that Nunzio and Christina came up with.
I just hope they don’t flurk up the darkspawn …

Interesting, definitely wasn't expecting this but how exciting! Varric's hair looks longer which makes him 10x hotter. I wonder if "The Missing" refers to the "former friend"? While I'm guessing Solas is the "former friend", I'm not sure I'd rule out other possibilities. He seems the obvious one but, again, I would rather they kept any more to do with him for the actual game. Do you suppose they could be looking for Hawke? If they decided to make Hawke the person left in the Fade, then they are missing as opposed to officially dead. Since Marnas Pell has a sundered Veil, might it not be possible to escape the Fade from there? |

Publication Date: January 25, 2023 Putting this out there so soon after the series on TV, and saying it ties in directly with DA:D suggests that there is going to be more news around Christmas/New Year concerning the game and that it is likely still on target for a second half 2023 release. Here's hoping anyway. |

As sick as I am of Varric, if the story is good I'm fine with him returning. Cool to see Lace. I wonder if the new writer is so we can have a tone shift, the deep roads tend to be pretty grim and Tevinter Nights had pangs of being less whimsical than Inquisition.
I'll miss Nunzio and Weir they were great to fans who wanted clarifications on things and even when people disagreed with their choices they told us why they thought it made sense (I rival Fenris in 2 so honestly he worked perfectly to my worldstate).
Overall I'm cautiously optimistic, we've had some incredibly mediocre comics (Magekiller/Deception) and some great ones (Knight Errant/All of Gaiders stuff) I think it tying into DAD means they might actually let it affect the world in some way. Either way more stories in Thedas keeps me happy.

Honestly I liked Magekiller I thought it was cool story and decent art. Although I am sick and tied of the never ending continuing mini-series instead of an ongoing series publishing deal.

I am torn between joy and frustration. The good stuff well a new comic series with Lace Harding.  The bad is Varric. Why isn´t just a Harding series? Or if Lace don´t have the well known starpower why not pair her with Dorian? Someone who makes sense in Tevinter and isn´t that overused like Varric. I really hope that Varric isn´t a DA 4 companion and i say this as a huge Varric fan. Lace on the other hand would be great. To the former friend part i don´t think that this person is another dwarf because it seems unlikely (atleast for me) that all major characters (that we know of) are dwarves. It´s very likely Solas himself but what if he isn´t this person? My pick would be that work for all player worldstates so this rule out everyone who can die. Also this person has to be atleast for some time an Inquisition member and must be somewhat known of a character. So i can´t believe that Varric and Lace are looking for i don´t know Neria. |
