NME is still in pre-production and that's really the only new update we got from this year's N7 blog. BioWare could post more later, like last year we got Geth crater wallpaper a few hours after the blog was posted( which was also light on any new info).

Taken out of context, I hate the whole phrase "human defiance". As if defiance is somehow typical of only humans. Just sounds like lazy writing at this point without knowing what it really refers to.

The original audio clip from Liara was overlaid against the footage of the mass relay being constructed wasn't it? Hence the defiance somehow refers to the building of the relay? You would imagine that the Council would be all over relay construction so it kind of makes sense if Humanity/Cerberus is off on its own building its own gate somewhere, for some reason.

All guesswork obviously. Until we have the context it's impossible to judge whether it would be appropriate or not.

I think a lot depends on whether this is just Cerberus constructing its own relay, or whether the Systems Alliance is covertly backing them in that endeavor. I'm inclined to think it's just Cerberus off doing its own thing. The main reason being that the planet in the latest trailer appears to me to be the same planet as the one beneath the relay that's being constructed. There's also Cerberus colours on the relay, and on the stockpiled canisters in the new trailer. Most people seem to think that the N7 figure is some sort of agent/infiltrator, so I suspect that the Systems Alliance have sent an N7 to investigate/disrupt what Cerberus are up to.

The obvious question of the back of this though is just what the **** are Cerberus up to? Where is this new relay paired to? 

That COULD be the same planet again, albeit a different part of it (ie seems more remote with no sky cars flying around), but generally you're absolutely correct of course, this is ALL speculation at this point. 

Re Cerberus colours - this is of course true, but presuming the Liara dialogue is actually referring to the relay being constructed then I'd probably say on balance it's much more likely to be Cerberus going clandestine against the Council rather than it being the Systems Alliance, but of course, it could be....!

By the goddess, I hope they don’t involve Cerberus in any way, shape, or form in this. They have been so overused. Plus why would anyone bring them back after they supported the Reapers?
