Thank you for the explanation! Never really tried Crusader (other than for the challenges), but I don't recall struggling with Sabre too much which I did use.
And so that I don't steer the conversation off the topic, here's my contrarian opinion: grenade powers are meh (because you never have enough grenades). Here's another one: reload canceling is a bug in the game engine, so everyone who use it are exploiting the bug.

Huh, I saw that post for my-self. Are we talking the "reload cancelling - bug/exploit or working as intended"? If so...
(TBH, I'm still kinda dubious)

Do you know what the base delay is on all the shotguns? I’ve heard 1/10th of a second but that seems far too long. The Crusader delay is definitely not 8/10th if a second delay. Anyways as to whether or not the Crusader is technically bugged, BioWare was right about it being a top tier weapon even without the user-made fix. You have to wonder if the damage on it would be way lower had they decided to fix the delay instead of buffing the numbers on it multiple times. It was more of an important question to me back when the platinum speed run record used the Crusader with the fix.

The Crusader delay is definitely not 8/10th if a second delay. The delay is 8 times higher before rounding. The formula is base_delay/#pellets and base_delay is 0.1 s. Then it is obviously rounded up to full frames. With 8 pellets, the delay is just 1 frame; with 1 pellet, it's 0.1 s or up to 7 frames depending on the exact timing and the extent of CPU choke. My interpretation used to be that if Bioware has acknowledged the bug, it's alright to fix it even if they decided not to bother. If you asked me these days, I just want this weapon to create some sort of balance between weapons and flamers.

When Dispenser/Tecdet are raging, I agree with them 90% of the time. Sometimes I find it difficult to keep my own rage under control and may bark orders into the mic. recently yelled "GET IN THE BLUE!" when we were doing hack and 2 team mates were just running around the map for 2-3 minutes whilst I was getting overrun with Phantoms/Dragoons.
Also had to kick people recently mid-game because they were actively avoiding combat. Like running away from enemies and hiding, running away from objective. I don't care for team mates that have less than 20k points after playing for 8 waves because they hid in a corner and played pacifist.
The flank thing that dispenser rages about the most I can understand. Sometimes I'll have enemies walk past my team mates and kill me. Like "hey, team mate, do you mind not letting enemies past to kill me, I should feel safe with 1-2 team mates behind me"
