Based on the timeline they haven't redeemed themselves yet. These guys are still seen as the thug mentality. How did they persuade everyone to give them an Ark? Probably going to used as shock troopers. I mean you would at least want a few platoons of Krogan in case shit gets too real. |

Based on the timeline they haven't redeemed themselves yet. These guys are still seen as the thug mentality. How did they persuade everyone to give them an Ark? 1. Krogan are known for being able to fare well in hostile enviroments and against hostiles. Most don't feel any loyalty or care in any way about their race and have left Tuchanka for space as mercenaries. With a careful vetting process, it is far from unlikely that some krogan might be hired on as a part of the expedition to handle incredible toxic and inhospitable enviroments.
2. We haven't seen it confirmed or even indicated that the krogans have an ark of their own.

It doesn't make sense that Humans get a whole ark for themselves. Between ME1 and ME2 we are still relative newcomers albeit with a place in the council. Yes, I think that there should be a Volus/Elcor ark instead. It wouldn't make sense if humans didn't get an ark. The enitre Andromeda Initiative is the idea of and is funded by a Human! It's the humans who decide who gets an ark and who doesn't. |

A colony ship does not necessarily mean an Ark. It could dock and detach from a larger ship.

Yes, I think that there should be a Volus/Elcor ark instead. This isn't a project of the Citadel Council. This is a privately funded venture. Clearly, Cerberus its wealthy backers had human interests closely in mind. Realistically, we are granted a position as one of the four "Council Species" two years before the arks launch. Plus, "the plot, man-- the plot". Why would we not have a human ark? As to the Krogan question, I'd expect to see them sprinkled in as muscle on the non-Turian and non-Salarian arks. I'm honestly kind of glad to see them returned to their pre-Cure roots. That whole storyline went down a bit too idyllically, in a lot of ways. The genophage had to end sometime, I guess, but we didn't get much time to experience the Krogan as the galaxy knows them. This will be more of a chance to do so, again. Gotta love that Krogan - Turian - Salarian love triangle. |
