Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Beta (cancelled)

Well, for me, it is obvious that if a customer service web site advises you to downgrade their main client instead of trying to actually fix it and make it work, well, I think I don't need to continue. It is just plain wrong. Means that we should be using Windoze 95 and MS-DOS which worked quite well 20 years ago.

I decided to ask for a reason. Got an answer.

@of_somebody Our team worked extremely hard building, testing & balancing MP, and we determined that a tech test would not be necessary.

So a tech test was only deemed necessary all the while they assumed that their team wasn't going to work hard on balancing?

I knew this was going to happen, but still sucks.

As I said in the multiplayer beta thread:

Don't care too much for the MP but i'm not worried, sucks for those who got picked and were looking forward to play it.

I kinda expected this. The MP will be available during Early Access and Pax East anymore. My guess is that they're shifting most of their resources to polishing the game as much as possible before release.

Yep. I figure BioWare must be doubling down on polishing the game for the famous "Day One Patch" and everything else, including multiplayer, is falling by the wayside. One positive to take away from this is that the MP has been in Andromeda from the beginning as BioWare developed both simultaneously. I'm not too worried that MP won't be ready at launch. I just don't think BioWare has time to worry about it or put any of that fan feedback to use at this point. BioWare will probably shift any MP plans to post-release if there are issues.

Cool to finally see customized faces. Or maybe they're presets?

More like presets... I doubt we'd get customization for all other races, and only having it for humans would be... strange?

Still, it sure looks sleek... like all of the UI screens so far. Also: Quite a selection of characters, but my guess is only the first row will be unlocked from the start... or it's just coincidence that only those wear full helmets.

looks cool. wonder what all the different icons are on the left. but then we know there's a krogan vanguard with nova so...could we possibly be getting 20 different novaguards including salarians and krogan?! that may be the case


very disappointed to see that the novaguard still comes with shockwave, wish they didnt insist on that, it never made any sense and it never will. bit of a shame really.
