Xbox One Club: 'BSN BioWare Social Network'

ok... This is a great idea, but I think this needs some 'Official' support (from BSN unofficial forums (us)  ).

The reason why I don't think 'ME3MP N7s' as a title will fly long term is because Mass Effect Andromeda is out soon, and after that, there will be other BioWare IP, so I thought I'd open an Xbox Club called 'BSN BioWare Social Network' (a title BioWare have walked away from, but one that still carries some weight I think  ). Also I don't want anyone else grabbing the title, giving that is was available...

To minimize the notion that I've stolen the idea and run off with it, I'm PMing JuggerNuggss who I would like to invite to be admin and let's see what we can do with this. I wouldn't even mind if we re-titled 'ME3MP N7s' as BSN, but I saw a warning about not being able to change titles (?).

How many clubs are we gonna make? Clubs clubs everywhere

Practical answer:

Clubs are still a new thing. We should support a club that allows a maximum number of people who enjoy this forum and also play on Xbox to participate.

It's good to take a long-term view, as Mass Effect Andromeda will be succeeded by either the secret IP or Dragon Age 4, both will be of interest (presumably) to BSN multiplayers on Xbox. Positioning a club name that reflects our forum name is, in my view, the best way to build a sizeable group, long term. That also allows people to be referred back here to BSN to join the forum.

Size matters, because you want to go in and find loads of like-minded people ready to play, which is kind of the point.

BSN Prime (wait for it) had 500,000 registered members before it was shut down. We are still only 2,000, less than one of the Xbox clubs has.

I would quite happily have climbed on board JuggerNuggss ' group if it was not for the Mass Effect only focus: 'ME3MP N7s', and JuggerNuggss is now admin on 'Xbox BSN' anyway. 

There are other clubs already:

• N7 club has some 3,000 members - I checked if the owner was on BSN, but I didn't see them. That's fine, they are them and it's not a competition.
• The N7 Lifestyle has 356 members - Mass Effect only
• BioWare Fan Club has 327 members, again, no matching member record here or I'd ask them to team up.
• Mass Effect N7 Elite has 129 members.
• BioWare Fans 103 members.

So that's why another club, but I absolutely understand smeckie 's point. If this doesn't gain traction, we'll look at it again.

EDIT: I randomly invited a few people off BSN to join: "BSN BioWare Social Network" club, let's see what happens  .

Just don't be offended if you get fried in the reactor or find a-bombs 'mysteriously' blowing up in your face. It just means we love ya....
