Give the Turians some love

Shit I hadn't read this thread, I'm so sorry... I wish you the best. I don't know why you're going through brain surgery but I do know what it's like, I've had several myself so my thoughts are with you, even after the surgery. I know the time after isn't easy either, if not worse. I am truly sorry for not responding to this thread sooner, I simply didn't imagine it could be anything like this. Yeah I've had 8 so far but I'm okay and thank you. I know all about those side effects though, they can be a real pain and learning to live with them can also be difficult, especially in the beginning. It's weird but I'm used to strong headaches now and the double vision, like it's "normal". I don't know why you had to go through your surgery though, it's probably not for the sane thing but brain is brain and that's scary in itself. Mine was for high pressure, hydrocephalus.

Eight surgeries, damn. Well, luckily I just have to do the one, mine was a removal of a brain tumor that turned out to be benign and unrelated to any previous health issues I've had (I've had cancer twice and had just finished chemo recently so the first thought was that it had came out of remission and metastasized into my brain. That turned out not to be the case at all, which is the best news I've gotten all year, or at least tied for best news with the confirmation that Turians are going to be in Andromeda).

Oh wow - mine too but it went away after they removed the tumour.  I read it up afterwards - not recommended.

My surgeon said every single brain tumour and condition is unique - given the complexity of the location of where the problem lies.  So, it's never the same.

Oh I don't think you made it about you - don't worry.  Sounds bad enough as it is. 

Like TTT my tumour turned out to be non-cancerous as well (I can't use the word benign to describe it, no matter what the technical term might be).  It was a long time ago now and I survived.  Surprisingly (or not maybe), more people do survive brain surgery and tumours these days.  That's not to say it's less serious than it was (it isn't) and that there aren't consequences (there are) but surgical tecniques can do a lot nowadays.  I have a lot of respect for my surgeon - though that might just be because he cut my head open and fiddled about.
