Shit I hadn't read this thread, I'm so sorry... I wish you the best. I don't know why you're going through brain surgery but I do know what it's like, I've had several myself so my thoughts are with you, even after the surgery. I know the time after isn't easy either, if not worse. I am truly sorry for not responding to this thread sooner, I simply didn't imagine it could be anything like this. I really enjoy all your videos and your way of being in general, you're a good person. Please be well soon! Best wishes to you. If you ever want to talk afterwards in pm's about this with someone who's been through this, then I'm always ready to talk. Several surgeries!? I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I hope everything worked out okay. Thankfully for me I feel about the same now as I did before the surgery (bad headache, occasional double vision and weakness on my right side, obsessed with Turians), but now the surgery is done those issues will gradually recede (except the part about the Turians).

Yeah I've had 8 so far but I'm okay and thank you. I know all about those side effects though, they can be a real pain and learning to live with them can also be difficult, especially in the beginning. It's weird but I'm used to strong headaches now and the double vision, like it's "normal". I don't know why you had to go through your surgery though, it's probably not for the sane thing but brain is brain and that's scary in itself. Mine was for high pressure, hydrocephalus. ps.: glad your love for the turians is still there

Well, luckily I just have to do the one, mine was a removal of a brain tumor that turned out to be benign and unrelated to any previous health issues I've had (I've had cancer twice and had just finished chemo recently so the first thought was that it had came out of remission and metastasized into my brain. That turned out not to be the case at all, which is the best news I've gotten all year, or at least tied for best news with the confirmation that Turians are going to be in Andromeda). ... My Turian obsession is incurable.

Oh wow - mine too but it went away after they removed the tumour. I read it up afterwards - not recommended. My surgeon said every single brain tumour and condition is unique - given the complexity of the location of where the problem lies. So, it's never the same.

Oh shit... guys, my condition isnt caused by tumour, damn... I'm so sorry for the both of you. Yours is a lot worse. My condition was caused because of a violent jerk of an ex husband (it's out there anyway, most people knows thanks to a few douchebags, I might as well say it) , and it's permanent, I might need more surgeries to keep the pressure down whenever it comes back but damn, it could be worse, I'm glad it's not a tumor. I'm really sorry, didn't mean to make this about me.

Like TTT my tumour turned out to be non-cancerous as well (I can't use the word benign to describe it, no matter what the technical term might be). It was a long time ago now and I survived. Surprisingly (or not maybe), more people do survive brain surgery and tumours these days. That's not to say it's less serious than it was (it isn't) and that there aren't consequences (there are) but surgical techniques can do a lot nowadays. I have a lot of respect for my surgeon - though that might just be because he cut my head open and fiddled about.

I do admit my surgeon tells me that the surgeries are a huge risk each time I go through them, cause it's the the brain and the risk of getting handicapped or dying is always there but they have different techniques now and I'm so used to it that it's like going through "whatever" thing for me now. It's insane when you think about it. One of the surgeries alone which was the worst of them, they drilled two places in the brain and cut my stomach open because they had to place a shunt, they kept me for three fucking weeks and the pain was worse than hell.....

Ok, Turian love...
Well, something I'm enjoying lately: when I find myself in a lobby with one/more folks who fancy themselves a bit more badass than they really are, I've been selecting the TSent and arming the Avenger. When I get 175k+ and an AR medal or two with the Avenger, well, my shallow self really feels like I gave 'em the bidness.
