All I can say about Aria is she's a bad motherfucker, she let you do whatever you want as long you don't fuck with her, which I genuinely respect her for that. I mean come on you can't get more gangsta than that.

I've always wondered about that end to the Omega DLC. I know there's different outcomes but...that time she was strangling Petrovsky then she went all googly-eyed. Like, what the hell was that? I know asari do that to go into your mind and all but...waaaat? It was pretty badass and pretty scary. Does anybody know for sure what exactly occurred?

She's not an Ardat-Yakshi (which is more like a parasitic sex predator) but I'm certain mind melding ability extend beyond just for reproductive purposes. I guess she scrambled his mind at the moment of his death, pouring all the rage and prolonging the pain that she felt and thus destroying his mind.

I really wanted more of Aria... she is fucking fantastic... and to be honest I watch anything with Carrie Ann Moss in it and just close my eyes and feel a little closer to Afterlife

Pretty sure its what Liara pretended she could do when she was butching it up on Illium as a junior shadow broker... I reckon a properly trained Asari Matriarch can kill you with their minds... well thats my fantasy anyway (and quite a few fanfics I've read) Edit: I always let Aria kill him... gotta let Aria be Aria

In ME1 Benezia says she forcibly extracted the location of the Mu Relay from the Rachni Queen via mind meld, and implies that a forced mind meld is highly unpleasant. My guess is that Aria was doing something similar, except to torture Petrovsky before he died.

It honestly sounds a bit like what Ardat-Yakshi do--not implying Aria is, especially since Benezia is able to do this and she obviously isn't, but maybe they are just more easily able to do those things that only the most powerful asari can do. Anyway, fan-art! I'm not sure if Aria would wear this, but her in a Cruella Di'vil-like outfit seems rather fitting. (Source)And some of Aria with Nyreen: (Source) (Source)

I’ll preface this by saying I'm a huge nerd and Aria fangirl, so I felt like rambling about my favorite asari a little. There’s something I’ve been wondering for a while: if Aria is one of the oldest asari we encounter over the course of the OT. There’s not much to go on when it comes to Aria’s age, as she never explicitly states it. However, in one of the novels Grayson refers to Aria as “likely” being around a thousand. This is further backed by Aria herself stating during the “neutral” ending of the Omega DLC that she’s over a thousand. Not only that, but if you look at the wanted posters spread around during the DLC, there’s a few numbers at the bottom of both Aria and Nyreen’s that've led me to wonder if they're supposed to be dates of birth. Assuming the last four numbers are years, Aria’s birth year is 1048, which would make her 1,138 in 2186 when ME3 takes place. Likewise Nyreen would be 45. Obviously there’s nothing to confirm those numbers are actually a date of birth, but I think the ages match up too well (for both Aria and Nyreen) to be a coincidence. We know Liara is only 109 in ME3, and according to the official ME2 site, Samara is around 600 (though the ages on there are a bit… odd, imo). Out of all the notable asari we encounter, the only two I’d say might be older than Aria would be Aethyta or Benezia. Aethyta says she’s a thousand, but there’s no way to know exactly. I’m assuming Benezia was around the same age, but I couldn't find anything on her. I suppose there’s also Tevos, but similar to Benezia, I couldn’t find anything on her. I’ve seen a lot of threads wondering how old Aria is (elsewhere, not here), some even putting her in the matron stage, so I figured I’d throw my thoughts on it here. Though that brings me to another - and probably more important - question: just when do asari start to visibly age, because damn Aria looks good for a thousand.

Though that brings me to another - and probably more important - question: just when do asari start to visibly age, because damn Aria looks good for a thousand. Since their systems are not biologically human like, maybe they don't age visibly? Maybe they just slow down eventually and just die looking gorgeous. I keep thinking Aria is around 700 plus years old, not a thousand. I definitely placed Aethyta and Benezia as older. Tevos, I put her at about the same age as Aria. So a thousand or over. I wonder how long she ruled Omega.

Forgot about Aria. An old thread. Whatever.
Anyway, I do like Aria character. She is very different from others, her tattoo suits her character (and this tattoo btw looks great in general - modest but at the same time shows some character traits ). Aria's comments are damn funny and what is more important - sarcastic. Like Samara's LM: ..."She didn't try to seduce me" (with proper tone)
"Better luck catching her (Morinth)" with that face expression. -- I like DLC Omega in ME3. ALways play it.
BUT
Where the hell is my damn interruption if Aria decides to kiss my Shep?!? And after that my Shep even smiles a bit?!?
I value greatly my personal space and do not need any intrusions.
With that "kiss scene and after-smile" Shep looks really stupid, reminds me that scene when Shep meets Liara during Mars mission with that stupid smile "Lia-a-ra-a".
Glad in ME3 devs gave an opportunity to spend time with Aria and get to know her better.
But I need interruption during that kiss scene.

I'm on Omega in ME3 right now. I've been watching everything she does. I'm pretty sure Aria is the most powerful asari we've seen to date. She does things never before seen, things she didn't even know she could do. I'd say she's stronger than Samara. Thoughts?

She does things never before seen, things she didn't even know she could do. I'd say she's stronger than Samara. Thoughts? She is older than Samara so... probably. Not sure that's entirely relevant. Benezia was weak. Most of what she did during out encounter in ME1 was open doors. I mean, seriously, she opened doors. And she knocked you over a few times. Weak. I don't know how old Tevos is but she can't even handle an old man who pushed her over. Weak. And how long ago was it that Aria took on the Patriarch? If Aria was hired by him as an exotic dancer (I know this was a ruse), it might have been a while ago. Possibly even during her Matron stage , which could have been hundreds of years prior. She's just strong.
I know you're not arguing my point. Just adding to my thoughts on the matter. Funny thing is that I don't really like Aria but I still think she's incredibly powerful.

To be fair, I think we have to separate gameplay from what's implied in the story. Sure Benezia basically lets everyone fight while she virtually does nothing but then again, Shepard is able to easily dodge the Reaper laser beams that are designed to take out dreadnoughts, kill hundreds of mooks and their gunships but then, he/she loses in Thessia to a guy with a sword and a gunship. From a gameplay perspective, I would put biotic Shepard ahead of Jack, Samara or Aria even though it's implied in the story that all of them are stronger than Shepard. Back to the topic, I think both Samara and Aria have spent most of their years honing their skills so I think Aria might be stronger due to simply experience. Even if we go by gameplay, Aria biotic abilities seem more unique than Samara which has the classic biotic moves like Pull and Throw.
