What are you currently reading?

Nice, William Gibson is one of my favorite authors. I really enjoy his unique and many times almost prescient way to construct weird near-future scenarios by seemingly mundane descriptions and storylines. Never read anything quite like the stuff he puts out. The last one in that cycle (All Tomorrow´s parties) is also really good. Let me know what you think .



Cool, Richard Morgan is another author I really enjoy reading. Not for everyone, but I find his dark, bleak, excessively violent and yet oddly hopeful stuff compelling. Almost like he has a picture of human nature which is at the same time much more dark and much more bright than my own. Let me know what you think .


OT, I just breezed through a novel by Charles Stross called "Accelerando" and had an absolute blast with that one. It is a "post-singularity" SF novel written as a sequence of short stories. It´s fast, weird, irreverently funny and even quite good with the science. Just starting "Mathematics without Apologies" by the mathematician Michael Harris. I´m a scientist myself and I enjoy mathematics, but pure mathematicians mostly seem to operate on an abstraction (and weirdness) scale way above my own, so I´m looking forward to that one.

I am reading an article from the May/June 2016 issue of Facilities Manager Magazine entitled "Deferred Maintenance - Data Gathering and Presentation' written by Beerfish. Awful boring shite.

Just finished Crosstalk by Connie Willis. Not my favourite of hers, but good fun nevertheless.
