BansheeOwnage (ie: Leandra telling Hawke.) The only way for "proper" dialogue to be triggered is for the game to ID the sexual preference of the char from the CC and of course to write alternate dialogues for each preference. Character creation, then, must have a "please select your sexual orientatio" question. Maybe a Tweet question is in order. That's definitely not the only way. You could also have it be dependent on which NPCs your character has flirted/been in a relationship with. You could have dialogue that references a past attraction at some other point in the game, and there would be a line for male or female or both or none (though that has some issues of course). But my personal favourite because I think it works best, would be to simply not have Leandra say that line at all, in any variation, or at least a neutral way, like: "Now you just need to find someone to settle down with." Sounds natural and fits any orientation, but still doesn't make sense if your Hawke makes no secret of not wanting to settle down at all. Hence my preference for simply not having presumptuous lines in the first place. Some stranger saying something, whatever - but not from family who should know better

Life is Strange actually handled it ok, though I don't think you can even go perfect with such a bloody anti-personnel minefield. Although the greatest mystery of Life is Strange is how and why Max was given the powers in the first place? (The following contains Spoilers and Mild Ranting, Viewer Discretion is advised); Max getting the power to change things made no sense, especially when the entire universe was clearly conspiring to course-correct for the ripple effect of Chloe being alive when she shouldn't have been.
Throughout the series, the world seemed to be constantly engineering situations where Chloe will die (which Max always prevents) or trying to off-set the imbalance by killing increasingly large amounts of living things.
Not to say that I didn't enjoy Life is Strange, but like Donnie Darko and Final Destination, what was the point of the universe giving people the ability to change their fate, only to end up revealing that fate is inevitable and it's pointless to resist? It's basically just screwing with them for no reason?
Life is Strange works far better and has less plot-holes if you interpret the time travel as a metaphor for Max overcoming her grief at Chloe's death, by "fixing" the things she wishes she could have changed. Either she lets Chloe go and moves on (Sacrifice Chloe, Save the World), or she instead continues to remain in denial (Save Chloe, Screw the World).

Good point. Alas, we might never know for certain. Maybe not even the writers know that, but the way it was handled certainly was among the better.

Jien Garson is mom Ryder, she's killed in an attack on the Nexus Vanguard before Alec et al get there on the Hyperion. Alec goes cray upon finding out the Khett killed his betrothed, goes on guerilla warfare rampage with the angriest buggers on Nexus. You and your twin will be pulled into this war on the Khett and will be either putting out fires or lighting them with dad across the Helios cluster. gon o I kind of like this concept. Great reasons to be paragon or renegade.

Alex Ryder IS the mother of the Ryder siblings. There father is actually Andromedan. Alec was kidnapped by a UFO and implanted while unconscious and returned to earth without knowing what had happened until he started showing signs of being pregnant and gave birth to twins nine months later. After piecing together what had happened, he vows to find a way to get to Andromeda to find his children's father... enlisting the help of a wealthy and crazy socialist... Jien Garson (who he falls in love with as they work on the project together). The technology for getting to Andromeda was extracted from the genetic memory passed onto the Ryder children from their Andromedan father. If I'm understanding this correctly, Alex Ryder actually began existence in The Sims 2. I think that's the game (EA, no less) that introduced male sims being abducted by aliens and becoming pregnant.

A couple of crazy ideas that just popped into my head *Alec stole the twins from the birth mother & ran away to another galaxy, 'cause y'know, woman scorned. *Alec Ryder has a husband not a wife & the kids are a genetic hybrid of both father's dna & some woman was used as a surrogate Just my ideas. Oh yeah, should've seen this coming. It's Miranda 2.0 and it's just to explain how the twins are actually clones and therefore it makes sense that Scott has the exact same lines as Sara if you play as him. Ha... still kinda doesn't though...
