Vetra Nyx, Maker Bless Sheryl Chee! (Official Thread)

Bioware can't make Vetra non-romanceable due to simple factors.

After ME1 people wanted Garrus romance and it was received very positively in ME2 and ME3.

So now, if our new turian squadmate turned out to be non-romanceable, people would go apesh*t over that. And Bioware surely is aware of that.
So they cannot 'afford' to make her non-romanceable.

But.. if they actually do... I will laugh once I find out and instantly get the thought in my head "Bioware, prepare for community backlash"

And Vivienne, for that matter. Them Vs are dangerous.

Yeah that's along the lines of what I was thinking :/ Fingers crossed though!

Vetra's name starts with V, so she must be not romanceable... I like that theory.

No, seriously, I don't think Bioware will waste an opportunity for a romance with a squadmate. We will only get six of them, as it seems, and the demand from the fanbase for LIs is high, especially for potential LIs that get a lot of screentime like squadmates do.

Why are people assuming that Peebee is a romance option?
Bioware has made it a point that she is nothing like normal asari. Young asari are all about free love and stuff like this. And Peebee goes against the norm. My guess is that she won't he a romance option.

M. Gamble said on Twitter, that PeeBee is romanceable.
So its 100% confirmed as of today.

Dunno why they are so secretive about Vetra tho'... its February in action and little info on her so far.

Despite many of Chee's characters sharing the trait of having overcomplicated backstories, they are all notably different from each other. Wynne, Oghren, DAO/DAI Leliana, DAO/DAI Cullen, Isabella, Segrun, Velanna, Blackwall. She is very talented at writing many diverse character archetypes.

The thing is, not many of those from her impressive roster have clicked for me, sadly. And it's not from lack of an open mind; I absolutely love the concept, background, and design of Isabela, but from engaging with her in game, she just never really clicked to me, for lack of a better description. The most affection I've felt towards any of Chee's characters was for Leliana in Inquisition, and that was after not caring at all about her in the first two games.

To relate this to Vetra, I'm certain that she will be able to stand on her own as a character and be unlike any of the characters Chee has written before. I'll just have to see if maybe this time (the 9th time?) will be the charm. It wouldn't be the end of the world of course, if I don't love a character, but I really, really want to love Vetra.

But dats just me. Yay unsolicited personal commentary.
