Vetra Nyx, Maker Bless Sheryl Chee! (Official Thread)

I don't understand the want for specifically gay or lesbian characters. I understand people want representation, but what is so bad about Vetra possibly being bi? That way straight men can have their first turian romance, and so can gay women! "These straight men want to romance a turian for the first time, just like me- but only /LESBIANS/ deserve to enjoy that! It's only fair!"

Anyways, I think they should get rid of the whole straight/gay romance options. I know that in reality, gay and straight people exist, but I want to be able to romance anyone. I was super disappointed not being able to romance Cassandra, Tali, and Garrus.

ALSO, MORE IMPORTANTLY! Vetra is taller than Drack, and I'm actually upset about this.

What is so bad about having gay characters though? We haven't had a single gay squadmate for three games, unless you count an optional DLC where a temporary lesbian squadmate dies no matter what. If there's none in ME:A, that means they still don't value the idea of a gay squadmate. In your opinion, it's entitled, but for me it's just wanting a gay squadmate for once. I'm not asking for every single squadmate in every game to be gay! What's so difficult about one single gay squadmate?

I'd be fine with all-bi system of romances, but they're never returning to that. So, since they're not doing that, I want important gay characters that are going to have a lot of content and aren't just relegated to non-squadmates that are always going to have less content than squadmates you have with you during the game. If they don't, then it's just yet another disappointment for fans that want that content.

Anyways, I love that Vetra is taller than Drack. 

Hmmm... Leliana was pretty okay. I don't honestly remember much about Wynne. Oghren was alright. Velanna... who is she? The elf from Awakening? Don't remember really liking her that much, but it's been so long. Maybe I'm only remembering what a bitch she initially was. Sigrun is... I don't remember. Isabela was actually quite bad. Blackwall... I liked Blackwall. Not particularly complicated, but I thought he was interesting. 

Dog is the best companion. The first time I beat Origins, I wanted to be kind of a "lone hero" archetype, so I only took Dog with me to fight the Archdemon. It was hard as fuck, but he was a good boy. 

Speaking of Vetra and Drack, I think they might know each other by name, given their line of work. And one/either of them might also make references to either Zaeed or Wrex as well.

When did I say everyone had to want her to be gay? Nowhere, actually. The majority of my aggro responses have been to people telling me I should think of the straight men or telling me I should be happy with hetero turian romances or saying "I don't get why we need gay characters." My response to that can only be frustration, since why can't people think of what a lot of lesbians want, for once? Which is, you know, lesbian characters.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure Sheryl Chee likes writing characters into women anyways (Blackwall, Leliana, Isabela), so maybe I'll get what I want. If she's bi, then fine, great, but I would be super happy if she's a lesbian because that'll be probably our first gay squadmate we get for a whole game.
