Id love it if someone posted a romance fanfic with her where Vetra starts out the opposite of Garrus. Serious, no humor and duty bound. Then Ryder slowly cracks her shell and she starts laughing at jokes n stuff

Then Ryder slowly cracks her shell and she starts laughing at jokes n stuff For that you will have to wait even a couple of months... after the release. It takes time to create a good fanfic story which doesn't resemble some kindergarden naive cliche'vity. Check out those 2 stories I've posted few posts back, really nice writing with nicely designed characters. Actually its 1 story, but divided into 2 parts.

Interesting tidbit: Vetra may not get along with Peebee. If Vetra does turn out to rule-abiding, I have a suspicion she'll frequently clash with Peebee, who hates rules in general. Answer the Omnitool, because I freaking called it!

To be fair Mac didn't actually said in which way their relationship will develop. Though I think it might be at bit conflicting. Or they could go on making them best friends with opposite personalities, who knows . We had often 'rivalry' relationships between companions based on their opposite personalities, it might be interesting to see a friendship be developed despite their opposite personalities or an initial dislike/diffidency of each other. Maybe they can be the Gimli and Legolas of MEA?

Yeah, it can be like that, though it might work a bit different since they used the timeskip to rapresent the growth in the relationship. I'm not sure it'd work the same way with Andromeda, assuming there isn't a comparable situation of DA2.

Hahaha ... the thought of Vetra and PeeBee not getting along, yet maybe developing a gradual friendship, immediately reminded me of Eliot and Hardison in Leverage. Only, I'd like it if Vetra's a lot more tech-savvy than Eliot, like an Engineer or some other type of tech expert, as others have suggested. If PB gets on Vetra's nerves in the same way, it could be hilarious. The video quality on this isn't good, but it's the first scene that popped into my head when I thought of this.

Honestly, when he mentioned that the relationship would "blossom," I got the image in my head that if your Ryder doesn't romance either Vetra or PeeBee, they'll hook up near the end. Bioware always has that one couple--the trilogy had Garrus/Tali, Origins sort-of had Alistair/Leliana, DA2 had Fenris/Isabela, and DAI had Iron Bull/Dorian.

IMO, Vetra will be romanceable by male Ryder only.
Its not like Bioware does not have a precedent for doing this. Cassandra was only romanceable by male Inquisitor. Aveline marries Donnic. Both are strong women.

To be fair, the reason most people didn't get to see Bull/Dorian was because of the buggy banter system, and it's pretty hard to miss Garrus/Tali. And while the "strong" women have also traditionally been straight romances, turian women have so far traditionally went with asari... I don't know, I just thought it would be a fun idea. I like when Bioware does stuff like that--makes me feel better knowing characters I like are still getting some love even if my player character is pursuing someone else.

I'm not saying it's not possible there'll be romantic relationship between characters. I just meant that Vetra and Peebee probably won't be such, in my opinion.

From the twitter thread: (Thanks, Hrungr!)
Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon Trying a different squad configuration for this run. Vetra & Peebee can have some pretty sweet combat synergy if you play your cards right!
🐹 @fourhorserace MAN YOU GOTTA STOP WITH THE TEASING
Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon *deflects bullets* *sets things on fire* *pewpew* *combo explosion* Pardon? What teasing? 😇
So I'm assuming Vetra is the one setting things on fire, while PB is deflecting bullets and triggering the combo (maybe with Warp or Throw). That seems to lean toward Engineer or Sentinel for Vetra (yay~!). Candidates for her fire power? Incinerate and flamer come immediately to mind, although Carnage (soldier power), Paladin flame shield (sentinel, also may be used to "deflect bullets"), Fire Hammer and flamer turret also had the possibility of setting enemies on fire in ME3.
I doubt she would have a paladin shield, because I think an AI would have trouble using it well. Also no to the Krogan fire hammer because that seems OOC for a Turian. Flamer received so much hate from the ME3 MP community because of the sound effect and cheese factor I doubt she will have it (although sound can be redesigned). My two top pics are Incinerate and flamer turret, or some new flame power we haven't seen yet.
I didn't include inferno grenades and incendiary ammo. Ammo is no longer a power. I think grenades are still a power, but again I think combat AI will have difficulty using them properly. Did any MET squaddies have grenades? I can't remember.

In ME3MP Krogan adept was shaman. That and the fact that in my mind shaman implies some kind of magic and biotics are space magic (although Eve seemed like she wasn't a biotic and she was a shaman of female clan... ) Ah, right, MP. I just had Codex entry on krogan biotics in my head "Biotics are rare among the krogan, especially since the practice of surgically creating krogan biotics has been discontinued (due to the high mortality rate). Those that exist are viewed with suspicion and fear.". To me it seems that "suspicion and fear" is not the most desirable quality for a mentor role. Well, in case of krogans "fear" part kinda is. Also Shaman on Tuchanka never mentioned being biotic, so I just assumed he isn't. Good point. I have played so much MP that "Shaman" just means "Krogan adept" to me now. That makes me happy because if Drack is not automatically biotic then Vetra could have a chance of being a sentinel. If Drack is biotic it may not be inconsistent with the lore. Perhaps it was the fear of his fellow Krogan that caused him to say "screw it" and leave them and the Milky Way behind.

Well, I decided to enter this month's MassEffectFollower contest (and here's a hell of a Freudian slip: I nearly typed, "enter Vetra" ... shows where my mind is, right now ). Because, at the moment, Vetra is probably what I'm looking forward to the most. She's got a permanent spot on my squad. The comment I posted:

Yeah, I am definitely already picturing Vetra as a calm and cool badass, perhaps even enough to sass the great Turian Batman, lol! Barring some great disappointment, she's already a lock for constant squaddie (even more so if she has a few biotics, ie: Sentinel class)!

Her unique ability wasn't best utilized in the hand of the AI, unfortunately, but certainly fun to play around with. I love Sentinel squaddies generally, because it makes it so much easier to set up tech/biotic explosions with the MC or other squaddie. However, considering how we will apparently be able to mix-and-match, or perhaps even switch loadouts on abilities between missions, it may be easier to balance the teams out in Andromeda, which should make for all sorts of fun!

Indeed, I would have rather had Biotic Protector as a bonus power than Flare--I mean, sure, it's crazy powerful, but God is the cooldown a pain in the ass.
And what's interesting is that biotic shield Ryder puts on herself sort of seems like a mobile version of that.
