The split second we see Vetra for, if anyone missed it: Is that some kind of mask or hood on her face? I can't tell. Just looks like her face to me. You can see her visor and face markings. There is a thing behind her right at the same level as her face.

IGN's logic: Vetra won't be featured in our newest video, so let's make her appear on the thumbnail of that video! Sex appeal always draws people in. :sure:

I think it has to do with their plating, too much metall in it, I guess. Pity there likely won't be any swimming in MEA, it would make for some funny scenes with Vetra. Everyone is enjoying themselves in a pool and poor Vetra stands 3m away, arms crossed and tries not to come too close to the water.

There's a lot of splashing, sinking with occassional bouts of drowning..." Too bad it's unlikely...if this was JRPG, you could be sure there would be pool or beach scene

Krogan probably couldn't swim either, so at least Drack can join her in the kiddie pool. Of course we don't know if Jaal can swim or not, but given the design of the Angara I'd suggest they probably can.

Would possibly explain why the Turians never developed carriers.
Their difficulty with staying afloat would make them reticent to develop sailing ships and have military engagements on the oceans of Palaven, so they developed a strong aerial fighting force instead. Since Earth is mostly covered in water, we had no choice but to develop carriers to allow us to support our aircraft and allow them places to land and refuel.
Could be that the other species did experiment with carriers historically when it came to their seafaring, but abandoned the design once achieving flight and spaceflight capability, viewing it as redundant. Whereas with humans, the design worked so effectively and had become so ingrained into our military philosophy, it was only natural that the same principle would be adapted when it came to spacecraft.

I'm pretty sure Vetra's just going to steal his bed to warm up If Ryder gets Vetra to freeze her arse off, she can steal his bed. It's fair game.

I doubt Turian normal body temperature is 36.6 'C. Since they are sensitive to cold, I would gather their bodies are normally a little hotter (directly and indirectly speaking ), than human body. Damn... I start to think way too much about turians...

Whereas with humans, the design worked so effectively and had become so ingrained into our military philosophy, it was only natural that the same principle would be adapted when it came to spacecraft. You know I have this idea for my own fictional universe I'm creating for years, well failing to create for years. Basically, in it humans are only ones that have main battle tanks, in fact but for rare few minor species governments nobody has any tank design at all but humans. Due to no other species in my universe had a their own WW1, where warring factions were stuck in deep trench warfare that moved very little with heavy losses, it never encouraged tank development and instead they only focused on making armoured transports and fighting vehicles for mobile armoured warfare. For that humans have huge tactical advantage in land battles as no other species not only has no tanks but also no reliable anti-tank weapons developed to fight tanks. That's the idea I got as I watched Great War history channel and other WW1 documentaries, as they explained why trench warfare occurred and all radical ideas and plans both sides of the war tried to develop to beat it. So that hit me, what if aliens never developed tanks due to them never getting own WW1.

The body temperature thing pops up in a lot of Garrus fanfic, actually. Including one where he almost freezes to death because the human shuttle he was on crash-landed in a frozen wasteland and wasn't built with turians in mind... I'm gonna knit Vetra a sweater.
