I almost choked from laughing at this video. I think funky animation is party of the Mass Effect charm. The music doesn't help XD Not just Mass Effect, Bioware animation in general But it has certain charm to it "Yep, that's Bioware game alright "

I finished up my 10 hrs trial. And let me tell you - if you want to be a completionist and reach the story lock - those 10 hrs AREN'T enough (which is a very good thing). This installment of ME is deep, very deep. I had not even a single moment where I felt things were artificially stretched or were dragging on during those 10 hrs, in fact now I have this notion/wish that this ME has no ending and can be played on and on and on (in terms of singleplayer story developement). I also tried 1 MP match to get the feel of things: This is all the best of ME 3 MP with great improvements on top - if you liked spending 100+ hrs in MP in ME3, then here in ME:A MP you will have even more fun and stuff to unlock. MP is simply an awesome action-packed mode. Every character so far - Liam, Cora, Kallo and Vetra are just great. You really start to wish to learn everything about them after you have 1 bigger chat with each of them. And Vetra - spot on, love her backstory and way she swings. My definite perpetual romance for both Ryders.

So...got early access. Met Vetra. Tl;dr--she's amazing, and Jaal actually has a little competition now This is a really pleasant surprise for me since usually, I'm not interested in BioWare's F/F love interests. The ones that I'd like to romance as female PC are always straight (Morrigan, Miranda, Cassandra). But Vetra might be the exception, and that could be awesome.I've been hearing this a lot lately and it makes me so happy, you don't even know! I feel the same way! This is the first time in a long time that I am super excited for the F/F romance. I usually pine over the straight girls like Morrigan, Cassandra, Miranda only to be crushed later.. (wait that is your list also haha) I think that is why I am so super excited this time around. I do feel bad for those ladies who wanted Cora cause man have I been there but as soon as I saw her I thought they would pull a Cassandra. I figured we would be stuck with Peebee (not that she is terrible but that's not really a choice is it?) and Suvi (Yes I do think she is terrible lol)I have seen the CC and the animations and I agree they aren't up to par with a lot of 2017 games. *I just played Horizon and hoo boy that game was just all around great, it even took some tips from Bioware and used a cool dialogue wheel. But c'mon I think us die hard Bioware fans know what Bioware is good at and what they always have trouble with. The really bad CC is a bit of a surprise but the facial animations being off? That is just Bioware being Bioware. With all the things EA gets involved with you would think that would be something they could actually help with... guess not. Marketing was really bad also. But I think the characters and story will be great. The environments and atmosphere looks great. The complex situations and choices look good. The combat is drool worthy in the videos I have seen. We know the lore is good. I mean I get people being frustrated but I am not letting it get me down. and finally we know that Vetra romance gonna be goooood.

I wonder how their relations develop later.

Yeah the animations for human characters is wildly inconsistent. But where as some people are complaining how they won't buy the game, I'm just having a good laugh and enjoying myself, XD. Exactly man, people act like the OT was perfect, there was some crazy shit going on in there as well. Also I love this its 2017! It's a new engine people, I'd like to see you make even a fraction of this game with your "skills" To say that you need to do better in order to criticize something is a really shitty argument. I have a number of playthroughs of the OT. I remember its jank quite well. It has been five years since the last game and it hasn't gotten much better. That is not a good thing. EDIT: I mean, I'm still buying this game, but man it is dissapointing to see all that shit.

Hmm interesting. I will probably be Vetra and Peebee/Cora most of the time since I'm going biotic so that should make for interesting times haha.

Regarding Vetra and Liam: Thinking about it, I'm not surprised they don't get along. Liam was a former cop, and thus might have a more rigid view of right and wrong. Vetra, on the other hand is a wheeling and dealing mercenary. Granted, she seems pretty benign as far as Bioware mercenaries go, but still. That seem like a recipe for some tension.

You've got it backwards. Liam is reckless and Vetra is cautious and that seems to be the start of their problems. Liam doesn't seem to care about rules so much as he does about people and getting the job done. In my game, they had a banter chain that was them fighting about Vetra bringing her sister to Andromeda. It started with Vetra sniping at Liam about being reckless and he turned on her about her decision to drag a kid (her sister) to Andromeda.

I also took the route of a Completionist and Insane Difficulty, and after doing all side quests and exhausting all dialogue (as well as getting 100% on the 3 side planets) I only have 2 hours left and I haven't even left for the first planet Eos yet. Granted I did do a bit of Multiplayer and spent quite some time in CC, XD.

So she's friends with my Ryder's hubby, Gil. That's definitely a plus. Will definitely be bringing her around.

Interesting implications of that banter chain: 1) Sid didn't want to go to Andromeda but she considered never seeing Vetra again the worse option. 2) Liam is aware of this, either because Sid confided in him or because he's figured it out through talking to her (the last part of the banter I saw (and maybe the last in the chain) has Vetra yelling at Liam to not speak to her sister, implying that he has spoken to her previously) 3) Liam thinks Vetra should have prioritized Sid's feelings and/or not taken a risk like that with Sid 4) This is a major sore spot for Vetra - probably something she feels a lot of guilt about

Until I will meet Jaal, she and Drack will be my all the time squad The krogan+turian wrecking crew is a time-honored Mass Effect tradition. It will be upheld in Andromeda I've been hearing this a lot lately and it makes me so happy, you don't even know! this!! Morrigan, Cassandra, Tali, Jack.. I was afraid Vetra would be the fifth time running in what for me has become a "Solas plays BW games" meme.. Yeah, it was definitely a trend for me too Andromeda is going to be the first BioWare game where I play the female PC as bisexual. Even if she doesn't get together with Vetra in the end, it's nice to know that she had options of both genders that I would actually consider romancing. Also, on the facial animations, the human ones are funny-looking. Fine. But IMO they've done a lot to make the turians more expressive. Their faces are more animated, especially their eyes. I noticed it first on the Nexus (I also may have squeed upon seeing my first turian in Andromeda ), but the articulation in their faces is great. They're still, you know, carapace bird lizard people. Not super expressive. But their faces and body animations do a lot more of the "acting" this time around. Less reliant on the VA to carry the weight of expression.

Interesting implications of that banter chain: 1) Sid didn't want to go to Andromeda but she considered never seeing Vetra again the worse option. 2) Liam is aware of this, either because Sid confided in him or because he's figured it out through talking to her (the last part of the banter I saw (and maybe the last in the chain) has Vetra yelling at Liam to not speak to her sister, implying that he has spoken to her previously) 3) Liam thinks Vetra should have prioritized Sid's feelings and/or not taken a risk like that with Sid 4) This is a major sore spot for Vetra - probably something she feels a lot of guilt about
I think 4 would be a great subject to help her get over as a LI I definitely think we'll see it come up outside of banters.

I had Cora and Vetra and I can't remember any interesting conversation. I'm going to start again and i'll take Liam and Vetra. Was it in the Nomad driving around?
