I'm curious as well - really wanted to see how they changed classes/skills on the Tempest to know how the whole system plays out. Maybe the weapon you use or gear plays a role in that as well. It should be the class, but Ryder doesn't have a class... Maybe percentage of class powers? (biotic/tech) Or maybe the shield is an item, and you can change whether you want shields or barriers. In any event I hope shields and barriers are not essentially the same thing with different colors. NO!, the Reegar is back!, To the Bunker!. Sorry, I can't hear you over my vanguard cheesing everything with incendiary ammo. From what they told we can choose whatever power we want. Só maybe focusing on barrier or shield is the same?

Okay guys - I know I wanted to go to bed but - I'm still sitting here watching the gameplay footage over and over again and decided to share some things with you via Screens. I made some interesting discoveries so pay attention to small details like game ui etc. Some of them are a bit blurry, I'm very sorry but my Pc couldn't keep up especially in the very movement heavy battle scenes. Tried to capture some interesting hidden gems ;D And don't be afraid I'll sort up everything in categories & tag it as spoilers. Have fun and feel free to share your own thoughts or discoveries here as well (in spoiler tags if possible if it is screenshots) . Companions Dialogue Wheel & Interrupts
Battlemania: Skills, Combos, Covering & Enemies
..and a tiny look on game gui & weapons as well. Repent - the end is nigh *coughs* I mean, sorry but lots of screens so maybe a bit loading time. Sorry for the mushy quality of some of the screens.
Landscapes, the Nomad, the Tempest & Space Map
Crafting & Scanning
Edited: The Nexus, some Arks & the Tempest Part II (in engine, not direct gameplay - source: Andromeda Initiative Briefing Nr. 2 - Arks & Nexus)
Nice, it seems like a lot happened in that video.

Bio deliberately showed us a number of different armours to show the customisation abilities and variety. The menu showing different armour pieces confirms, imo. Also, Mac/Gamble wants to know which armour we like best. We appear to be able to customise the under armour and the "over" armour.
Bio crammed as much as possible into this video.... a huge visual info dump, if you will. If you look closely, it's made up of many different scenes with different squads, experience levels, enemies and fauna types. As such, heavy editing went into making this medley of scenes.... combat being too heavily edited. Not sure what was the idea behind this or the intended message. The perceived message is that combat is way too chaotic and that your squad that's supposed to help you went unseen.
Obviously, the studio wanted to show off the female Turian , the Krogan and new cluster alien, followed by what Outposts can look like... which feel more lively that the static towns in DA:I. I didn't perceive any Crowd Control tech but perhaps the Outpost population is too small for it. Combat was also an opportunity to show off the classless system, weapons, biotics and enemy types. Interesting that Bio showed off the Hunting quest. Maybe it's to show what the scanner can do or the variety of quests or their complexity that do not consist of "fetch 3 Elf Roots".
Nomad's speed is nice but is it necessary? Unless it's to provide a Ferrari experience. Hair tech is still primitive. I like the PAUSE and simple HUD design. Three Powers seems limited but the controller may be the reason.
And what's to spoil? The video showed all. We just comment on it.

No question the environments are awesome looking and the flora / unfriendly fauna. The studio does want us to explore these worlds. Come to think of it, as anyone noticed that during combat we can encounter an enemy type called FIEND ?

The controller is hardly a justification if they truly went to the three mappable powers, since we always had in Dragon Age at least six powers available with the controller, by using a button to open up an alternate set.

Side-note I like how they showcased the most popular powers Charge, Incinerate, and Cloak to encourage us to buy the game. I could've done with significantly less charging, to be honest. It entirely alters the flow of combat. I'd have liked to see more "non-charging" combat, but I guess it's safe to say that this will play out a bit more traditionally, with some additional movement added. We saw a few flashes, toward the end, just nothing longer than 0.8 sec at a time. The choice to use biotic charge to emphasis mobility and verticality was an understandable one. It was definitely effective. Thanks for posting the pics, Shinrai . The armor and weapon on the guy fighting the remnant is interesting. Both look new. I can't see it now in this "quote" screen, but I think the enemy was called an "observer". Both the armor design and the weapon on his back look new.

As for barrier/shields, I'm hoping there's one massive tick in character creation saying "Biotic?" that lets you choose whether your Ryder is a biotic or not. In the end, non-biotics would have no access to respective abilities and have shields instead of barriers, so a minor choice that might still add to the RP aspect.
Personally, I don't want to be a biotic, but if they make me, well... More power to me!

You can play a mission without biotics and the other as one.

Yeah i noticed it too. SisRyder armor is withour breastplate and shoulders when she is talking to that merc chic. But in other scenes we can see her in full armor. So either she took it away during her time in that settlement or she build it later , which is more likely considering they showed the modular armors. I think you cannot wear armor or have weapons while you're in a hub, just like ME3. Probably Ryder will have some other casual wear options besides the underarmour we see in the trailer (just like Shepard and the Inquisitor had), but they don't want to show us anything yet.

One of the preorder bonuses is a casual outfit, so that's a fair assumption.

Which might stand for Andromeda Vsomething points Maybe "Andromeda Victory Points", achieved via "victory conditions" such as clearing raiders or kett; establishing an FOB; etc...? Basically, anything that strengthens our position in the Cluster would get us AVPs, I'd assume. I still haven't checked that screen. KirkyX made some nice gifs and screens of the video in one of these threads. I'm pretty sure this screen was one of them. I'll check and link it, if I get a chance.
