I saw her and thought she reminded me of someone, but I couldn't think who. And then people started calling her "blue shrek" and I was like "A-ha!!!"

I don't think she's ugly, in fact I think she's kind of cute with her smooshy little face... but she also really does remind me of Shrek..

Now think about the fact that this will happen probably every now and then throughout the entire 60-80 hour game experience. It looks to me like they forgot to make idle eye movements. The eyes always look stoned or downright dead whenever there isn't a specifically animated expression on the face. Look at Sara in the new Weapons trailer for instance. Her eyes are dead, and they were in the TGA trailer too. Cora is also statue-still in one of the Natalie Dormer features during a cutscene.

I think there's something fundamentally off about the process they made to animate characters in this game. Is it all hand-animated now? I'm pretty sure in a lot of the trilogy they could use certain algorithms to automate it, so Shepard could have a "look here" point in the world and his eyes wouldn't fuck up but I've seen multiple mentions of both PeeBee and Ryder's eyes go all over the place in the previews and Sara already looks cross-eyed for a split second in the TGA footage. It makes me think for each and every scene they've animated the eyes individually from frame to frame or something. Of course that's going to go wrong then.

I think everybody, both the people that like her look and those that dislike her look, should act as grown-up adults and judge her when they have actually played the game.

But since I can't expect this from most people I will just say:

@op Dafuq are you talking about? That ogre-looking thing doesn't look anything like a normal Asari. She looks like her Asari mother embraced eternity during a multi-species orgy involving several Krogan, Elcor and a Yaahg.

She's certainly not as good looking as the Asari from the Trilogy

I'm more concerned with the shade of blue, the pre-rendered PB was pale blue, this is some Willie Wonka and Choclate Factory stuff.

yeah, it's entirely possible.

It's also possible that BioWare doesn't care if their stuff is consistent and quickly made up a twitter spin on how come PB has eyebrows.
Remember, when it doesn't make sense it's clearly Mass Effect Fields^TM .
