The Peebs looks fine to me. The Shrek comparison is a stretch and is only funny to meme loving hacks. Anyone can photoshop a character to look like someone. Remember back in the day when a lot of people called Miranda an ugly Michael Jackson look alike?

Yeah that was a thing btw. Because people wouldn't stop posting that one shot of Miranda where the lighting was bad.

having an opinion about the way someone looks and voicing it even in the confines of escapist fiction is obviously bigoted, closed minded and we should all ask Bioware to create ugly characters so we can take oride in how progressive we are in living them for who they are

Oh. I never even considered that she may look different in cut-scenes than in the game itself, that would be rather bizarre.

I'm not sure if she actually looks different. It's just how she's animated, she ends up making these faces that people are calling "derpy". I think it's a bit overdone and complained about, but I see what people are saying.

We'll only know when the game is released if those funny looking facial animations are the norm or not too common. Her actual design is quite good to me.

Edit: And I agree with some others that Samara is the most attractive Asari ever, and Cora's jawline ain't got nothing on her's!
