The very first time S.A.M. spoke I thought his voice was exactly like HIS \/ voice: So, yes. We are doomed. Probably.

Do you guya think SAM will ever get a body aka mobile platform like EDI did? Or a hologram like Cortana? Or would the plots be too similar?
If u think about it, he already has a mobile unit. Anyone with the chip implant is SAMs body in a way.
Wait a minute...
That is actually kind of scary :s

Maybe a "mobile platform" that isn't a (humanoid) body? Small drone or something like glyph maybe? Needs to be different from EDI.
Either way I hope SAM will be a proper character with plenty of dialogue, not as limited as EDI in ME2.

If the Reapers aren't in Andromeda there's no reason to assume that SAM will engage in similar behavior.

"From his node in the Ark, SAM receives a direct feed of the Pathfinder's sensory input via a neural implant. It sees and feels as Ryder does, providing him advance situational awareness, problem-solving, and even tactical enhancements,"
So in a sense, you're "banging" SAM every time Ryder sleeps with ANYONE

Well... You aren't "banging" SAM, SAM sees and feels what Ryder does, SAM is "banging" whoever Ryder is "banging", or being banged by as the case may be.
I do hope for everyone's sake that sensory input feed has an off switch, could lead to some wonderfully awkward conversations though.

I hope we can develop a meaningful relationship between Pathfinder and SAM Ricky and Morty Style, of course KEEP PATHFINDER SAFE "My function is to - KEEP PATHFINDER SAFE - not - KEEP PATHFINDER BEING, LIKE, TOTALLY STOKED ABOUT, LIKE, THE GENERAL VIBE AND STUFF - that's you, that's how you talk." SAM, 2017 ( Crim , you definetely have to watch the show )

I'ma go out on a super crazy branch here... but what if at some point during the game, due to the complications suffered with the cryosleep chamber etc. The other Ryder sibling dies/becomes braindead, but due to chip in their head - SAM could technically *extremely non-scientific handwaving here* use their body? "The implant is a two-way connection, giving full insight into the host's physical and mental state. While allowing it to generate and alter electrical signals along my host's neural pathway that the body processes as it's own." I dunno, was just a random thought I had. Go deeper and creepier, what if we don't know they have become brain-dead, and he is posing as the sibling, acting like them... *shivers* Maybe it would be his fault (accidental) and he would feel like he has to do it, to correct/atone his mistakeThough I really doubt that...but it could be interesting thing to explore. Good Lord. Why would you say that!?! Talk about nightmare fuel...but yeah, that last bit sounds about right for the machine logic we've gotten throughout the series so far... oops accidentally killed him, whelp better wear him like a meat puppet... I mean, it's a neat idea, but my poor psyche.. I really hope they don't go the creepy route with the AI this time; I think we got enough of that with the Reapers.

So... it's also helping Ryder with his/her... performance?

My only concern is that SAM is in our room...watching. Hope there a way to block his blue glowing self (though I suppose he could be a good mood light or play some music to set the mood ).

Do you guya think SAM will ever get a body aka mobile platform like EDI did? No. Given EDI's design, the male version would be something along these lines: ... which, of course, they'd never do. "From his node in the Ark, SAM receives a direct feed of the Pathfinder's sensory input via a neural implant. It sees and feels as Ryder does, providing him advance situational awareness, problem-solving, and even tactical enhancements,"
So in a sense, you're "banging" SAM every time Ryder sleeps with ANYONE It all sounds... really creepy to me.

S.A.M having a body that disgusting looking would likely not happen. I believe I already covered that it'd never happen in my original post. Whether either EDI's body or a male version thereof are "disgusting looking" is entirely subjective.

Whether either EDI's body or a male version thereof are "disgusting looking" is entirely subjective. Don't mind me. Objectifying both men and women disgust me and BW tends to do that. EDI is viewed as a sexbot and she was actually nothing like that, and really sweet. From what I have heard of S.A.M I like him and I hope they don't do something stupid with him like they did with EDI. I suspect though that if he did acquire a body, it would be by controlling Ryder.

The very first time S.A.M. spoke I thought his voice was exactly like HIS \/ voice: So, yes. We are doomed. Probably. Poor HAL. He wasn't actually evil, but driven mad trying to resolve a set of conflicting orders. He was programmed to provide accurate information to people, but was ordered to lie to his crew about the true mission. This eventually drove him homicidal, after he reasoned that if the crew were dead, he'd have no-one to lie to anymore. Hopefully Alec was more careful when programming SAM, so that he won't flip out when given paradoxical commands.

Considering SAM is an AI and not a VI, they haven't really shown him to have much of a personality yet which I hope changes soon. If you believe that a self-aware technological being can have a soul (like Legion or EDI), then his voice so far has been pretty soulless.
I really hope he gets a mobile platform. Maybe the crew meet a race that have androids (or whatever-oids) and they can get the tech from them.
