Yes, you're right.  I haven't completely lost hope.  Maybe he won't be just a fling.  I was just really hoping he was a crew member on the ship because those characters have a higher chance of having significant romances but, alas, it is not to be.  

He sounds badass! I'm now afraid that he might be a townie now as well >.< but at the same time, they did say "we'd hear more about him, if his writer had anything to say about it."

I think he could be a fling, although there is a slight chance that he could be reverse Garrus. He proves himself during the mission and we recruit him to a cushy job on the Nexus/with the Initative or he continues his work halting crime: sometimes needing our help to bring out the big guns. His LI path could be through email. correspondence and, like Miranda, scheduled meet ups in hubs.

It would be unique questline and LI option!

But... Gil isn't Nicholas Boulton.

Glad somebody finds this amusing, because I really can't hide my disappointment.

I'm definitely a little disappointed, but positive.

If Reyes is one of "your lovers at a port," and a once off thing, I'm certain they'd react to people liking him. We have DLC and a potential sequel after this. I'm pretty sure they will expand his role to crew or squadmate.

So much happened today from so many different sources while I was at work that I'm still playing catch up. So, pardon me!

Uh, yeah. I'm fighting a lot of disappointment and frustration that's mainly directed at BioWare right now. Most of that was invigorated today from all the content that was released today on so many different things that I could care less about while there was nothing released on everything I do care about. Lol.

To add to that, the more that is revealed on the few six squad members, the less I like them except for maybe Drack and Vetra who I remain neutral on. So I'm fighting this crisis where I'm not sure I'll like the characters that I'll be doing missions with and where we literally know nothing on the m/m romance options. The ones hinted to be m/m (Liam, Jaal) I am not interested by in the slightest. Especially with the descriptions on Liam today.

I am hopeful in the comments made by you, starlord that more squad members will be picked up as the game progresses and that possibly one of them will be Reyes or at least another human (bi/gay) male.

Ugh.

...and finally, Who the fuh is Gil Brodie. Like, hold up. I've never heard of this man until a few hours ago.
