Nice catch. If that is Reyes I'm going to have to get used to that voice coming out of that face. He looks so cute and tiny compared to that voice. lol

Not totally convinced that's Reyes - he looks rather antagonistic toward us in this trailer (isn't that him getting punched in the face right after? It went by too quick for me to be sure), but he sounds really friendly in the gameplay vid with Sara... could be we just get off to a rocky start though? Maybe it's his innocence we're trying to prove in our investigation, but we meet him under the assumption he's guilty? Hmmm.... if he is suspected of killing Krogan it would explain the angry Krogan with us...

I agree. Personally, as long as Liam and Jaal are available for my Sara, I'm okay with Reyes being gay (and he's a likely option for Scott from daveliam's leaked info). I do love his voice and accent, but two options I like are good enough for me, and I do plan to roll a Scott playthrough at some point so I can romance Reyes then.

So I've got this theory about our male LIs. The trilogy got quite a bit of criticism about them - there being no options for gay males until the third, and and the female straight options being a mixed bag with there being just one in the first and potentially none in the last, and two of the three in ME2 either dying or dumping you in the next game. I'm thinking it might be that both Liam and Jaal will be bisexual, because that gives us two male squadmate options for Scott and Sara. Gay and straight male LIs will be crew members or major NPCs elsewhere. This seems especially likely in light of the fact that it looks like all three female squaddies appear to be romanceable, where only two male ones probably are (so far). I would like to think the ME team would respond to past criticism and at least attempt some sort of balance now, and this would be a neat solution.

Regardless, I hope they reveal at least two options for each gender/orientation before launch (Valentine's Day maybe?). Since they've revealed Cora for Scott and Jaal for someone, it looks like they're not going to be super tight-lipped on this, so here's hoping. I'm sure there'll be more options in the game, but if I at least know of two to choose from I'd be okay with discovering any others as I play.

Was it ever confirmed that the goggle wearing, spiky-haired icon was Liam? Because, this may be a stretch, but not only does Liam not have spiky hair like the icon, he wasn't wearing goggles either.

IF Reyes is a squadmate... could that be his icon and Bioware just let us assume???

The team from the trailer is not the full team. So there is still a chance Reyes (or anyone else) is a squadmate!

No, I got that part. I'm just trying not to get too hopeful so I'm not disappointed if he isn't. :3

I'm just saying even though Jaal was in that trailer, Bioware hasn't said he's a squadmate yet. We know(heavily assume??) that he is, but for anyone else who hasn't heard anything about the leaks, he's just some random new alien. Watching that trailer with no extra information and no assumptions, the squad appears to be Ryder, Liam, Cora, Vetra, and Drack.
