Well, if "harvest more elfroot" is all there is to look forward to in the next DA game, I think I'll pass.
LOL, I have just been setting up DAO for the past few days getting mods working and after four failed attempts of creating a character I even somewhat like I am now on the march of decimating the Elfroot of Ferelden by harvesting every single plant!!!!!

Well, it was themikefest who started the reading of things into it. I was just really taking it over the top to make the point that it wasn't an announcement of anything... and we're still just waiting for them to actually announce something. Along these lines, GamingBoltt put up a video on Youtube just the other day making it sound like ME5 had been announced... but the article was really just regurgitating Schrier's article of months ago... that had nothing definite to say to start with. I find it amazing how the gaming media feeds off its own speculations. At any rate, back to waiting and playing other stuff for now. Happy New Year everyone.

What hrungr said, or a hint about a new mass effect. Most probably it's a trilogy remaster.
Most likely its nothing but trying to keep the brand alive while we wait 5+ years for the next game.
In truth, that's all an actual simple remaster would do. It wouldn't give us anything new, just graphical and sound improvements and the ability to run the game smoothly on the next gen hardware. I think a remaster is likely to happen sometime within the next five years... Hopefully, it won't be the cause of a delay in getting a new ME game to us.

Sure, they might. Personally, I'm unlikely to buy a remake if it's just a "twist" on the same old story. I'll only buy a remaster if I no longer have my current system. My preference is for a new game... with new ideas. I'm tired of all the rehashes of old story ideas that are being done year after year after year... and the OT suffers from the fans' "Bioware, fix it" syndrome as it is. If it takes them 5 years or more to do a remake, it's still not going to do much to keep the franchise alive in the meantime... so that leaves us with 5 years of these Arrowhead ads and New Year's lsits I guess.

I'm starting to wonder if it isn't about the long-teased Mass Effect movie finally getting of the ground.
I think they'll definitely gonna do a remaster and then the other two. That means Michael Gamble might be in charge of that and then move on to decide if there's gonna be a me4 or mea2, or even an entirely new me.
