I was wondering how they end up N7 also. Doubt it's because they stole dad's armor off his body. Then again.... As far as I know the twins have some military training when they arrive in the Andromeda galaxy, but haven't been through the whole N7-training program. And since the trip is a civilian endeavour, I doubt they can gain an official N7 rank once there. So I guess it is more armour recycling (why throw away the good MW stuff?) than their actual rank. yeah N7 armour was supposed to be some of the best armour the Milky way had so it wouldn't make sense for the kids to throw it away.In fact if it were me I'd wear it and use it to honour my father asnd where I came from and I get the feeling the twins would do the same. Or at least my Sara and Scott would anyway. |

It's just one of those funny game mechanics we tend to ignore. I imagine we inherit a set from Dad at some point, whether he ends up dead/MIA or if it's a 'you're the Pathfinder now, kid, so take my armor, you'll need it' sort of thing. |

We don't know if Alec dies at any point in the start of the game. I don't think they became N7. It wouldn't make sense for it to exist went a group in Andromeda, for what we know. Even then, why Ryder would become one? They become Pathfinder, there's no need for them to take that title too. I think either they take/Alec give them his armour or there are simply N7 armour available in Andromeda. True enough. Even though we are way above N7 level (I mean, come on), there's no need to formally put us in that designation. Maybe this is Bioware's way of acknowledging heroes in this universe. "Congrats, now you are formally a hero, here is your N7 pin and a cookie." |

I doubt they had any N7 training since they had so little experience in combat and you have to be really, really good and do some pretty spectacular stuff to get into the N program. Then to achieve level 7, well, they just wouldn't qualify. It was stated, though, that the kids grew up with specialized training early in life from Dad. That would explain part of the reason they're qualified to be Pathfinders, but still not the formalized N7. Then there's the possibility that the Alliance isn't even a presence in in the Andromeda Initiative, so the N7 would have very little meaning there and wouldn't have anyone to designate them as such. I think that the kids just took Dad's armor or a spare when he went missing. Had to have it altered, I imagine. |

You can see from the trailers that you use an armor a lot like the one from PapaRyder in combat, but without the N7 insignia, at some point. But I still think the best way to go is Alec himself welcoming us into N7. |
