They might've not shown the full list of abilities. Although we do know profiles unlock something. Engineer unlocks the drone and Soldier marksman.

Question for someone who is reading this 'debate' with a great deal of varying amusement, bewilderment, and horror...have they actually really talked about crafting that much at all?
I mean getting the DA I crafting system is nice but at this point I am really not holding my breath and...well I don't think we will get that system.

So having a crafting system means the gameplay is the same as DAI? . It's just a feature, that a lot of games, expecially open world rpgs, have. It's not something unique to DAI, but more about a design decision taken by Bioware when they went open world. It won't be exactly the same either.
I don't think a feature like this can determine whether the game is a rehash of a former one. Also, why did you reach that conclusion by watching the trailer? We didn't see the crafting system.

So you think just because they both have crafting systems, they have the same gameplay? What about the tactical camera, the ability to control companions and issue orders on pause, in DAI? What about the favorite systems that let you use more then the mapped abilities in combat, in MEA? That's not even considering how fundamentally different the two IP always were combat wise, and they still keep the difference.

About your other post, I wasn't trying to win any arguments either, I was trying to understand why you're feeling it's the same. Fair enough if it's just a feeling, I hope the full game will turn out as not close to DAI, so you'd enjoy it more.

EDIT : I mean, even Shepard with all of his shields and everything. He would be dead in 2 seconds flat if someone shot a plasma ball at him (and it it hit him).

Mass Effect never really cared about Thermodynamics. Remember Cryoblast? Cryo Ammo? Snap Freeze? What about the M622 Avalanche Heavy Weapon?
Or should we talk about Biotics? Even if we suspend our disbelief and say that Element Zero gives you Telekinesis, how the hell do you go from that to Dominate?

Sounds like a Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross Track. Not bad. Not bad at all.
In any case, there are no happy endings in history, only crisis points that pass.
The sound that comes in @2:25 has a stressful element to it that adds suspense to the countdown impression of piano. That sound made me think of the sound of hull stresses during deep space travel perceived by a mind in cryostasis super slow motion. Looking forward to hearing how this music develops.

The only part I missed is the violin melody in crescendo at the end . I think it is pretty solid, given the fact is not the official soundtrack. The main leitmotiv pretty well done
