I would suggest Power Overhaul instead of Better Squad. It improve the squad like Better Squad, fix some bugs, gives access to mp powers in single player and does some rebalancing.
And Weapon Overhaul instead of Balanced Weapons too. Balanced Weapons just make OP weapons even more OP. Weapon Overload actually balance the weapons and add missing blueprints.
Also, fix pack, everyone should at least use the fix pack.

I just graduated with a degree in aerospace engineering. I can confirm that games like KOTOR and Mass Effect were influences in terms of choosing that career path
I hope Bioware continues to inspire with its future games. Inspiration and epic stories something you can never have enough of, especially in times like these.
