Yeah. The trailer was pretty cool too, and the music gave me goosebumps. 

I'm on PC, so not relevant to me wrt next gen consoles, but by upgrade, are you talking remaster and/or addition of 4k textures?

If BioWare dropped a DLC for Andromeda, I could see a 4k upgrade occurring in conjunction with paid DLC … but not sure how it effects MP.

I would love to see a Quarian Ark DLC … and if that included a free 4k textures and bug fix patch for the base game (SP and MP) … cool.

Sadly, I don't see a paid DLC or free textures patch … MEA SP/MP updates are done, enhancements will have to wait for the next ME chapter.

That would've been wonderful. It will look and play so good with 60fps, ray tracing,better textures etc. I would love to see it have a photo mode too for console players. I've seen some from pc players and it looked gorgeous!

It doesn't need to have dlc to have a next gen upgrade. If they do it in addition with a photo mode, and since it's now free on gamepass many people old and new will play it. I wish it had a dlc so bad but unfortunately it won't.... Let's see what this new ME would be. A prequel, sequel to Andromeda with or without the ryder crew, or something entirely new away from milky way and Andromeda.

Yeah, I agree they wouldn't have to do a DLC … but that could be the path to pay for the upgrades.

I don't think visual upgrades to a three year old game are going to draw enough new folks in to pay it … and the updates would probably have to be made to all versions of the game, because of MP. Perhaps the updates could effect SP only and not MP … my guess is that would be overly complex and introduce new issues with the game. Again, a game that is three years old and game support has ended.

In an alternate universe, a paid visuals update, that segregated a player from non-upgraded players in MP … probably not viable. In ME3MP, DLC updates were free, but required players to download them … causing version issues. In MEA, they went with patches … so everyone was on the same version. My guess is that they would go the same route for visual updates.

I guess we'll find out where the next ME installment takes us … I have my druthers (MEA2 with Ryder), but I have a sneaking suspicion BioWare is not looking to me for advice on where to go with the ME saga.
