Sounds incredibly human-centric. Really? Now that is going to be your complain? Why do i get the feeling you would still be doing that even if they had showed everything you said you wanted?...
It's partially because it dosen't seem to make sense that this was a human project given the likely amount of resources, technology, time and funds that needed to be dedicated to this. It'd make more sense if this was a Council project where humanity pitched in. It's not as if this would make humanity suck or anything: it's just that the Council races would have the largest amount of what would be needed.

I was dreading it ever since that accursed leak over a year ago kept mentioning stuff like that. That has been one of my complaints for years. We are supposed to be a part of a galactic community, yet they have it so the universe revolves around humanity because humanity is Superspecialawesome. I stated countless times that is one of the few things I actually would have liked to be left behind. The problem with that is the game is being written by humans and is designed to appeal to other humans. That kind of implicit bias is very difficult to work around. Humanity needs to at least be near the spotlight otherwise a not-insignificant amount of people will have trouble becoming immersed in the game (which is kinda the point of RPGs). There have been plenty of science fiction and fantasy stories written where humanity is not the center of the universe and did well. I was hoping Bioware would try it what with them going on about us being the aliens and us being part of a community, but clearly that isn't the case much to the detriment of the game.

For the record, I agree with you that it's unfortunate, but I'll reserve judgment on if it's implementation is good or a bad until I have a chance to play the game myself.

I am sorry but to me seems like you want to be negative no matter what Bioware shows.

It's still my worry that it is going to emphasises humanity because I think this would be the worse time for it since all of the Milky races are refugees: we're literally all in the same boat. We should be taking shifts rowing and generally be working together because we would be strongest together.
Think about it: We have the turian's hat of discipline and military know-how, we have the salarian's hat of intelligence and creativity, we have the asari's hat of biotics and diplomacy, we have humanity's hat of adaptability and determination, we have the volus' hat of building strong and steady economies, we have the krogan's hat of hardiness and so on.
Together, we have the best chance of surviving and building a new civilisation. I'm not in Mass Effect for humanity, I'm in Mass Effect for things like the other races.

Aaryn has also revealed we start the game once we are in our way to Andromeda, so... They must have left all the technicalities and such in the book. We won't have a scene leaving Earth or the Milky Way it seems. No Reapers shown, just its shadows

I agree completely. As you said, we are all in the same boat both metaphorically and literally. This was the golden opportunity to show the races as equal, but no they've going with the humans are superspecialawesome thing again.

But from what Aaryn Flynn said we can imply the story is told from a human pov (no surprises there). That was already confirmed, they said the game will focus on humanity's plan on colonizing The new galaxy. The way Flynn talked about the project, with other species 'pitching in' implies that the Andromeda project was mostly something human came up with.

Not to mention how going back to status quo of how the races interact and see each other would be such a wasted oppertunity in my opinion: this would be the time where the races would develop and be different from how they were in the Milky Way. They are in a whole new galaxy where they have to adapt to new challenges and survive with no safety net.
Humanity might even stop being bland and be more like Mass Effect 1's humanity: you know, like Ashley demonstrating a love for poetry and having a religion with a xenophobic tinge to her character that was realistic given the history of Mass Effect's humanity. The aliens get to have religions and poetry. I mean, we had a krogan reciting poetry.

When i think about Mass Effect, Humanity and N7 are the very last things that come to my mind and the whole ark project being a human thing sounds annoying to me.

User @tibermoon Ian, can we also switch to a 3rd person view that's more close to the character (ME1,2,3 viewpoint) ? Hope you can answer. Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon @user Yup, the camera changes with context In various ways. What you see here is "default exploration cam." User @tibermoon So can we also lock the camera to a closer range? Or is it only context sensitive? Ian S. Frazier @tibermoon @user Sorry, you've used up my whole free info quota. Wait for the Fall. User @tibermoon No problem Ian. I'm grateful for that one answer you gave me. All the best! Can't wait for N7 Day & the game's release ofc.

Or the shuttles are leaving another planet in Andromeda. Who knows? Yea, probably fraking Aaryn knows
