Are you able to say whats been done on the audio front for MELE? Did you change, enhance, add new sound effects? Were you able to use higher quality samples and use less compression? Stuff like that.

What he said! The work varied from title to title as you can imagine. But yes your assumptions are correct. Content quality settings could be unlocked, reworked choice sounds, added to sparse cinematics, legacy bug fixes, and lots of tool wrangling.

#MassEffect2 was particularly unforgiving if you wanted everyone to survive. You either had to play full renegade or full paragon to 'pass' a particular argument. Hope the requirements are less rigid this time.

We actually did a couple things in ME2 to make morality checks a bit less strict/frustrating.
BrenonHolmes specifically did those things...

I didn't have a problem with those checks. I just did Jack's loyalty mission closer to the endgame, did all other missions before Legion's recruitment and that was the last mission before I did the endgame.

Yeah, the issues were specifically when you did them early... some tests were actually just straight impossible - even though they weren't intended to be.

They're a bit more flexible now, so you aren't penalized for accidentally tackling some of the harder stuff first!

@macwalterslives in a few of the Legendary Edition screen shots we see a different hud for the health bars and Mako. Will these changes be in the final product, or are they only placeholders?

Yes, the ME1 HUD was revamped for Legendary Edition. The final will be very close to what we've shown (we were still polishing when we grabbed those captures).
