Exactly...We're not allowed access to the internal machinations between BioWare and EA, or BioWare itself for that matter, but the fact that the 1.05 patch, the one released on April 6th that cleared up Addison's face/etc, was started by Sinclair on March 4th means they knew the game wasn't ready way in advance. I don't think BioWare, as it's creator, would allow it to be released without being fully polished so it leads to EA as the one's pushing out the door to meet it's Q4 projections, the health of the franchise be damned.
Whilst unlikely, it is possible that EA weren't aware of the game's state approaching release because no-one at Bioware told them. We don't know if it was EA or BW that ignored Sinclair's recommendation, and it could have been mismanagement on BW Montreal's part because they were overconfident in their product. Of course it's more likely EA just wanted it pushed through before Q4 end.
To be fair, I did really enjoy the game, but much of the backlash could have been avoided if it had been delayed a couple of months. And it strikes me as odd that EA would ignore a recommendation to delay it if they knew about the game's problems, since they are driving to improve their reputation among gamers, and this is a sizable step in the wrong direction in that regard. I would say it seems more like an internal BW mistake, where the management at Montreal didn't want to admit to having problems to EA.
The truth might be somewhere in between. Maybe an overconfident BioWare Montreal says they'll be ready by March 17, EA sets their end of fiscal year projections to investors, BioWare Montreal discovers they won't be able to make it as originally thought based on Sinclair's recommendation, EA tells them "whelp, too late, we've already counted towards out fiscal year, release it as best you can", BioWare reluctantly releases it with patches on the way...yeah, I don't think EA or BioWare wanted a beloved franchise tarnished like this but, the fact they did, probably means they little choice but to do it based on a mix of circumstances
Also, I enjoyed the game as well...on my 4th playthrough right now. It's a shame really...you don't get a second chance to make a 1st impression

Hum, this is still weird, we clearly see two designs, the architect design (Eos or Eladeen ok, but still), and this "giant one" design. The 2 designs appear in the trailer so i don't understand why the one at 1:10 is supposed to be the architect of Eos. I can admit that but it feels like this is a part they decide to cut at the end (and this is no the only missing scene from the trailer). Anyway, thanks for your reply.
Assuming I haven't been ninja'd, this is definitely the Architect on Eos. When it rises from the ground, it does so "feet first", with the feet held together. The legs rise, separate and plant. The head then rises in the middle. I've seen this at least 6 times, so I have zero doubts.

The problem is, if you fight the others on in Voeld, etc... that big , fancy cutscene is so pointless as well as the freaking out by the squad as if they have never seen it before. The Architect has 2 cutscenes. One on Eos and the final fight. I was shocked the first time I saw that scene on Eos because I had just killed one on Elaaden. Eos is where it's meant to be introduced.

Yep, the trigger for the Architect quests in Voeld, Kadara and Elaaden should definitely be on hold until you have defeated the Eos one.

Yeah and when I first colonize Eos I have to wait until after I save the Moshae to return (you don't have to, but the game makes it seem that way), but if I colonize Voeld before saving her, I get the Architect mission.

Yeah, that's goofy, though unrelated to the earlier post. I tend to do things "in order", so I'd already fought the Eos architect before finding the others. There are lots of little moments like this, though. Characters often comment about quests long since finished, because of dialogue tied to locations. It's pretty annoying.

Some people actually miss that cutscene, so I was wondering if that happened. I know I only fought the ones on Voeld and Elaaden my first time playing and never even saw that scene until recently. It is also where we meet that faction, so it had something interesting I was hoping that would lead to more in the future.
