Gamble's "very soon" tweets are referring to the patch with the new CC and m/m improvements, not a DLC. That's what I am waiting for before starting 3rd PT. I want to see new cc options for both males and females. If M/M is something I am interested in I'll take it into consideration as well to chose male or female. Saving the DLC for the 4PT or a reload of my favorite out of the three.

I was watching a stream of Mass Effect Galaxy when I stumbled across this piece of art from the game: i1126.photobucket.com/albums/l611/khazmoden/Screen%20Shot%202017-06-05%20at%2017.11.18_zps0nnwqefj.pngWhich shows a whole bunch of previously unknown alien races from the Milky Way, and as ME:Galaxy is set pre-ME2 then they can't be Lystheni, Kirik, Raloi or Virtual Aliens (the 4 background races existing that we have no art for). I don't use twitter, but is there anyone here that would be kind enough to tweet one of the writers or producers to ask whether we will ever get some lore for these unknown races or art/lore for the background races like the Virtual Aliens and the Raloi? I don't use twitter for a variety of reasons, but if anyone could do this for me then I'd be really grateful. If I could hazard a guess: in the first Mass Effect, it's clear that there are supposed to be many more species in civilized space than we get to see on-screen. The Citadel, according to the conversations, supposedly houses many unseen species (I think of Barla Von's claim that the Presidium is only for elite species, even though most species we meet are present there), and the Terminus systems are home to even more. Mass Effect Galaxy, being released between ME1 and 2, probably adheres to this idea. ME2 stopped referencing off-screen aliens, but I believe the vorcha were a nod to minor species existing across the galaxy, even if we don't see them all the time. The raloi, too, I think indicated that we only saw a fraction of the galaxy's species. By 3, it seems they discarded this idea entirely—what we see is what we get, and we don't hear about any other races besides the ones we've seen before despite the galactic war, which is then solidified by Andromeda's species selection. As to your request... I don't have a Twitter account, but I hope someone will ask about unseen races too!

Thinking about it now I kinda wish they'd stuck to that original idea - hearing about many other races despite not seeing them would have been really interesting, but I guess there'd be too many complaints that it's unrealistic to never see them, or the lore would have to bend over backwards to explain why they're rarely seen (see drell, female krogan & salarians)

Yeah, there are many references to there being a lot more races than we see, the only bad bit is that they never got expanded beyond a few Cerberus Daily News articles, or in the case of the Raloi, an ANN News broadcast on the Presidium. It would be great if they fleshed out the background races a bit, updating an online codex every week with new historical or cultural information about the different races. There is so much they could add. Hopefully someone will be kind enough to ask on twitter for me, I feel its something pretty important to ask them.

Improved Character Creator We’ve expanded the options available in the character creator, giving you greater control over your Ryder’s appearance. Two new heads were added, one male and one female, as well as a new complexion option and a greater range of available skin tones. We also unlocked all hairstyles for both sexes, and added a new bald option. For players wanting to adjust their look mid-game, we added the ability to change your character’s appearance onboard the Tempest. And for fans of Alec Ryder’s iconic appearance, you can now choose to keep the default Alec, rather than having his appearance be based on your custom Ryder. Expanded Male Romance Options for Scott Ryder Scott Ryder can now pursue Jaal as a romance option. There are several important reasons for this change: Scott Ryder did not have a same-sex squadmate available as a romance option, nor could the achievement for completing three romances be achieved with only male same-sex partners. And as the angara have expressed their fluidity in how they perceive gender, it seemed only natural that Scott could have a relationship with Jaal. The relationships with your crew are some of the most loved and cherished parts of our games, so we wanted to make sure we got it right.
